This great truck served me well for 4 years with no break downs or accidents. Only defected radiator was replaced at about 30,000 miles under the Ford warranty. I am the second owner since 24,000 miles. For the oil change I used only Shell Rotella Synthetic diesel oil every 10,000 miles and replaced fuel filter every 20,000 miles per manufacturer recommendations. Also, I changed Brake pads with OEM pads (Yes! OEM pads last forever) and brake fluid.
Everything Works!
- Interior is in great condition, the sound system is awesome. It has Sirius Radio and OEM subwoofer too. Power windows, power seats, power sunroof, power rear window.
- Exterior has few dents - a bumper and a tailgate (see pictures). I'm doing construction sales so I've been using the bed once in a while to cary construction materials. It has very useful tailgate step and a bed extender. Tires are still good for now, but you will need new ones for the winter.
- It has snow plow preparation. I put Westin snow plow 3 years ago, but it was only used for seven events. Otherwise it was sitting in a heated garage during winters since I'm in a seasonal business. I'm selling 7.5' Westin Professional snow plow at additional $3000 (snow plow is NOT included in the truck price).
I was planing to keep this truck until the "wheels fell off", but decided to downsize and bought
Ford F-150 which is more then enough for what I do.

Ford Transit gets outfitted for prison duty
Wed, 24 Sep 2014Between the Taurus-based Police Interceptor, the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility and the F-150 and Expedition special service vehicles, Ford has no lack of offerings for law enforcement. And now it has one more in the form of the new Transit PTV.
Based on the fullsize Transit van, the Prisoner Transport Vehicle can move as many as 12 prisoners in three separate compartments between detention facilities. Created in collaboration with Pennsylvania-based Havis Prisoner Transport Solutions and with input from Ford's Police Advisory Board, the Transit PTV takes advantage of the Transit's considerable configuration options that include three roof heights, two wheelbases, three lengths and four body-styles - not to mention engine options that include the flex-fuel 3.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel.
"Transit PTV is the latest example of Ford's deep commitment to helping provide law enforcement agencies with capable vehicles. This concept proves Transit is upfit-ready and designed to Built Ford Tough standards," said Jonathan Honeycutt, Ford police marketing manager. "Many Police Advisory Board members have had the chance to drive this vehicle and they are excited about it. This new vehicle is tough, smart and efficient - ideal for the needs of law enforcement agencies."

Feds Probe Power Steering In 938,000 Ford Midsize Cars
Mon, Oct 6 2014U.S. safety regulators are investigating complaints that the power-assisted steering can suddenly fail on three Ford midsize car models. The probe covers 938,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from the 2010 through 2012 model years, as well as the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received 508 complaints alleging that the cars lost power-assisted steering, causing increased steering effort. Four complaints say the problem caused crashes, but no injuries were reported. The agency says in documents posted Monday on its website that in many cases, a warning message appeared as the failure happened. Restarting the car corrected the problem in some cases, but the problem returned in others. The agency says it will check the scope and frequency of a problem. It could seek a recall. Ford says it's cooperating with the probe. Shares of Ford Motor Co. rose 6 cents to $14.65 in morning trading Monday. Its shares are down 14 percent over the past year.
