You are looking at a 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty Extended Cab DIESEL Pickup Truck that has 179,492 miles on it and is really in nice shape and has a lot of life left in it. This Ford was previously owned by a large Fleet and was driven by a Supervisor. and you can tell this by the shape of the interior and exterior of this worktruck. We get a lot of their vehicles and have good luck with them, as they are well maintained and typical of most large fleet vehicles.....They have a lot of new parts on them. This truck was in service right up till we got it...This diesel is easy on fuel, is tight on the road, and is really a cool truck to drive..If you are looking for a reasonable worktruck with a lot of life left in it, here it is!!!!! The exterior is in very good shape....Looks nice....Very little rust. We had this Ford detailed and waxed and it looks great. The body is in good shape. there are a couple of rust blotches. see pictures...There is a screen to protect the back window and passengers. And a toolbox..Spray on Bedliner..Fire Extinguishers and more...And typical of fleets that do good maintenance...there are 4 matching Commercial radials that look almost new!!! The interior is nice...No odors..The drivers seat has a small tear that could be sewn...The seats are comfortable....The radio cd works and the a/c is cold...and there is cruise control. The 6.0 litre DIESEL starts right up, has plenty of power and the transmission shifts smoothly. and the turbo kicks right in and has lots of power. See Video. the check engine light is on which is typical of higher mileage diesels. but we have sold many of these with over 300k miles on them and they are still running fine. This worktruck will drive you home wherever you need to drive. Bid early to show interest. Look at what others are advertising similar Diesel 250 trucks for. Every bit of $10-$12k...This truck will be a great buy for someone. Will be cheap because of the color. Paint or drive just like it is. We will pick you up at the airport or bus or train station during normal business hours or by appt. We go the extra mile for you. We have been in business since 1948. There is a $200.00 cleaning fee on all vehicles sold. This covers detailing of the vehicle. Carfax, 60 day temp tags, postage, lien verification and covers our fixed costs and lets us sell with NO RESERVE. We aim to please and hope you will have a pleasant buying experience with us! William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88
Sun, 09 Mar 2014William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."
How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
Here are 12 electric pickups in the works
Wed, Oct 21 2020With the unveiling of the GMC Hummer EV, the list of planned electric pickups is expanding. Legacy automakers like Ford and Chevy have theirs coming, as do startups like Tesla, Rivian and Bollinger, as well as some lesser known brands. Here are all the electric pickup trucks we know to be in the works, along with a few that are being discussed or mulled over. GMC Hummer EV The 2022 GMC HUMMER EV is a first-of-its kind supertruck develop View 40 Photos We’ve seen it now, and itÂ’s the business. The GMC Hummer EV comes out swinging with 1,000 horsepower from GMÂ’s new Ultium electric powertrain program, a wealth of off-road features, a removable roof, Super Cruise and the revival of the Hummer name. WeÂ’ll see the first ones on the road next fall. Tesla Cybertruck Tesla Cybertruck at the Petersen Museum View 14 Photos Tesla revealed the Cybertruck last year with, ahem, unique styling, a number of powertrain options and a claimed range of up to 500 miles. It has a compressed paper dash, a ramp for the bed, and “shatterproof” windows. It has already racked up hundreds of thousands of reservations. It will be built in Texas. Rivian R1T 2021 Rivian R1T View 15 Photos EV startup Rivian revealed its R1T electric pickup toward the end of 2018 with a claimed 0-60 time of 3 seconds and a towing capability of 11,000 pounds. Preproduction began in September 2020 at RivianÂ’s factory in Normal, Illinois. Bollinger Motors B2 Bollinger Motors B2 side outdoors View 31 Photos BollingerÂ’s B2 electric pickup is a Class 3 off-roader with retro styling, removable roof panels, and a unique “frunkgate” with a pass-through down the center of the vehicle. It was created with both enthusiasts and workers in mind, with features that can get it to remote places (portal axles, hydro-pneumatic suspension) and to get things done (room for 40 2x4s, equipped with eight 110-volt outlets and one 220-volt outlet). Bollinger also plans to make the B2 Chassis Cab available for fleet customization. Ford F-150 Electric Electric Ford F-150 Towing View 9 Photos WeÂ’ve known this to be in the works since early 2019. Since then, details have trickled out. Back in June, Ford announced its F-150 Electric would be coming within two years. WeÂ’ve seen it pull a million pounds worth of train and trucks, heard it will have more power than any other F-150, and seen its LED-laden front end.
