I am a blunt, honest, particular car person so you can bid with confidence, it is not a new truck, but I am going to do my best to describe this truck. This truck would be perfect for a hot shot driver or someone hauling a camper.!  Your are bidding on a 2006 Ford F250 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel crew cab XLT. I am the original owner of this truck and I purchased it brand new at our local Ford dealer in Cape Girardeau. The salesman was Gene Dewrock and if you want to know how I treat vehicles just call him, he still works there. I am very particular with vehicles, the original seats have been sat on 1 time and that is when I brought it home. I parked the truck, scotch guarded the interior and let it sit until I could order some custom seat covers. I bought the seat covers then realized I had paid $200 for seat covers so I bought a cheap set to throw on top of those so they didn't get them messed up. The truck has been a good truck, I just no longer need it since I have a 04 f350 as well, I am looking to downsize to something smaller. The truck has a little dent that any dent removal person could take out, it is not scratched, just a little dent behind the right rear wheel. It has a scratch on the rear bumper, and the usual little specks on the front bumper that I have had touched up. When you have painted bumpers it happens, it would be real easy to take the bumpers off and have them repainted if desired. It also has a little scratch on the driver door in which I have enclosed a picture of. I have just put a set of new Michelins on the truck which were $1100. I am faithful on oil changes, I use Mobil delvac. I replace fuel filters every 25,000 miles. It currently has a power programmer hooked up to it, 5 inch exhaust, no muffler. Winning bidder would need to wire money to

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.

eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history

Sat, 03 May 2014

You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.

Ford F-100 'Snakebit' shown off by Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed at SEMA

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford, along with KISS bassist Gene Simmons and his wife, Shannon Tweed, used SEMA as a backdrop to pull the covers off Snakebit, a 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck that's been updated with Shelby Mustang-derived styling bits and a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine. All 550 horsepower are funneled through a six-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels.
Underneath the custom bodywork sits a chassis that's been stretched five inches and a bed widened and bedecked with billet machined pieces that are supposed to look like wood. The 20-inch rear and 18-inch front wheels ape those of past Shelby Mustang models. The interior is swathed in two-tone leather with a bench seat designed to look - try to act surprised - like a Shelby Mustang.
Like what you see? Bidding for the truck will take place in 2014 at an unspecified Barrett-Jackson event (we'd assume Scottsdale). Proceeds will be used to help build a children's hospital in Saskatoon, in the province of Saskatchewan, where Ms. Tweed grew up. See the high-res gallery above and the press release down below for more.
