I have a very well taken care of 2006 Ford F-250 im offering up for sale. Im the 2nd owner of the truck, previously owned by a Senior Rancher in Austin, Tx where the truck had an easy life from new to around 100k miles. Truck currently has 118k. I bought the truck with the intentions of it being a great work truck for my small business, only to realize I could quite frankly now get by with a Ranger. Truck has Blue Texas Title.
At the commencement of my ownership I made a large amount of modifications to improve the reliability of this truck, to make it last like a 7.3. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Diesel engines, specifically Powerstrokes and more specifically 6.0s. The truck had ARP Head Studs installed prior to my ownership along with an EGR Delete which I improved on both recently. It has a 4" turbo back exhaust system with a muffler (I like to hear myself think) by MBRP. It has an Airaid cold air intake, CFM+ Intake elbow (reduces turbo lag), 58V Bulletproof Industrial FICM (longer life, crisper throttle response), It has modified turbo up pipes and exhaust manifolds (reduces turbo lag, crisper throttle response). The EGR scoop has been removed, and the EGR Cooler has been welded on both ends. It has a performance machine coolant filtration kit (due for a new filter at 120k, coolant filters promote oil cooler life). It has Ford's updated fuel pressure regulator to promote injector life. I also updated the high pressure oil system with an updated STC Fitting, Updated Stand Pipes, and Dummy Plugs. The truck will never ever have a high pressure oil system problem. Injectors health is currently operating in the 95-98% balance table (like brand new) sense I replaced injector number 1 which was showing signs of getting weak at 115k.
Upon purchasing the truck, it was giving some subtle warning signs that maybe it needed the head gaskets replaced even with the ARP studs installed. I didn't chance it, I ditched the gaskets, went with Victor Rinez Black Onxy Teflon Coated MLS head gaskets and replaced the oil cooler while I was in there and has made a world of difference in how smooth the truck runs. I'm under the impression that the first time the heads were done, it was by a dealership. I personally spent from Saturday to following Sunday replacing the head gaskets and oil cooler and making the above listed updates and modifications when the truck came apart. I have documentation of all the prep done to the truck, along with photographic evidence. With all the care put into this truck, it will probably never have to have major engine service for the remainder of the trucks life span and be reliable for its new owner.
The interior of the truck is in excellent shape. It has 2 minor eye sores, one being the driver seat showing some normal wear, and both of the switch panels on the front doors have screws through them to hold them in place because of broken clips. The truck has a touch screen head unit, with Navigation, Bluetooth, AM/FM, DVD, CD, Back-Up Camera, and Rockford Fosgate EVERYTHING sound system. It has 4 6X8" Replacement door speakers, Tweeters, Amplifier, and 2-10" Sub woofers to make a very crisp and well rounded sound system.
I have a brand new never installed 2.5" Lift, not leveling, Lift Kit, for the new owner should they be interested. It will still have some rake but will clear up to 35" tires. Tires on the truck currently are okay, will probably make it another 5-10k. Brakes have aprox 5K sense new, has Rancho shocks. I have Harley Davidson headlights available. Truck has currently been getting 5k oil changes with Valvoline Premium Blue, Ford Filters, and 10k Ford Fuel filter replacements with service logs.
The body on the truck is very clean and straight. It does have a few very minor scratches that have been touched up, and a few parking lot dings but has zero rust, has never been wrecked / doesn't have any repair I'm aware of or can see. It has a custom Ranch Hand front bumper, and Frontier rear bumper. Does not / has never had a goose neck hitch.
I have an SCT9600 that came with the truck but I have always been afraid of it. It goes with the truck should the new owner want it.
Come take a look and judge for yourself. The truck is in great shape and will speak for itself. I have taken alot of time and put tons of care to be sure this will be a reliable truck. I refused to be a statistical 6.0 owner.
Will help buyer arrange delivery or shipping, Mileage is going up daily as I am still driving this truck
Not interested in trades, will not owner finance.
NADA Clean Retail $21,950

Ford recalls 1.3 million Fusions, MKZs: Steering wheels could come off
Wed, Mar 14 2018When driving a car, the steering wheel is only expected to move in a rotational fashion, either clockwise or counter-clockwise. When it moves in some other direction, something is wrong, and when it moves the wrong way enough that it is no longer attached to the steering column, that's a really, really bad thing. And apparently, according to a recall issued by Ford, there are over 1.3 million Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZs that are at risk of this happening. And at least two accidents and one injury have been attributed to the issue. Ford says the problem is that the steering wheel bolt that keeps the wheel attached to the column might not provide enough torque, resulting in the bolt slowly loosening and working its way off the column. The good news is that the fix is really simple. Ford will install a larger bolt with more threads along with a larger nylon patch to keep it all locked down. The fix is completely free to owners. Cars affected by the recall include 2014 to 2017 Fusions built built at the Flat Rock plant in Michigan between August 6, 2013, and February 29, 2016. Model year 2014-2018 Fusions and MKZs built at the Hermosillo factory in Mexico are also affected. So if you have one of those sedans, please get in touch with your local dealer to have the issue addressed. Related Video:
Mustang parts under the new Lincoln Aviator mean good things for Ford
Wed, Mar 28 2018NEW YORK — As we mentioned last night, underneath the new Lincoln Aviator "concept" there appears to be an independent rear suspension lifted right from the Ford Mustang parts bin. And while it's pretty cool on its face that Mustang rear-drive platform bits are being reused in the broader Ford universe, what this means for the next Explorer could be really cool. A quick caveat: The Aviator here in New York is very close to the production version, but it's not technically a production car. It looks hand-built, with temporary exhaust and some show-car touches. The suspension underneath looks exactly like a Mustang's, but the actual production Aviator will almost certainly use beefier components with the same basic design and geometry, since the Aviator will be much heavier than the smaller Mustang. That being said, we're fairly confident that even at this early stage, the Mustang-derived suspension seen in New York is a preview of what'll be under the production Aviator. Furthermore, Ford won't say it, but based on what we're seeing on Aviator, it's a safe bet that Ford will utilize the Aviator platform for the next Explorer. That would enable the economies of scale necessary to produce a brand new rear-drive-based SUV platform in the first place. It also means that the Explorer should be available without AWD — and given the stable of powerful EcoBoost engines, and the competent 10-speed automatic in the parts bin, a rear-drive Explorer has a shot at being a decent driver. Aviator wouldn't go rear-drive-based if driving dynamics weren't important; Explorer should inherit these priorities. More evidence: The Explorer spy shots we saw back in February sure share the Aviator's general proportions. Even back then, before Aviator was revealed, we were hypothesizing that an EcoBoost 3.5-liter-powered version could boast as much as 400 horsepower, if the Expedition's tune were adopted. Suddenly, the Explorer seems very interesting. So, an EcoBoost, rear-drive Explorer sure sounds like something Ford Performance would be interested in, right? We knew an Explorer ST is coming, but with 365-400 horsepower potential and a chassis designed with dynamics in mind, it doesn't seem like as much of a stretch as the Edge ST. And a performance-oriented AWD system is a possibility, too. That's an area where Ford has been gathering experience at a rapid pace. What do we not expect from a new Explorer? A V8.
Jay Leno's Garage goes eco with Ricardo HyBoost
Mon, 17 Mar 2014"Now before you turn away, this is not another boring hybrid car thing..." Despite the slightly defensive introduction from Jay, the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage is actually pretty fascinating. The Ricardo HyBoost is a 2009 Ford Focus that has had a 1.1-liter engine swapped in for the stock 2.0-liter four. That might not get you performance enthusiasts out there fired up, until, that is, you hear that the 1.1L is also fed by both a turbocharger and an electrically driven supercharger for an instant-on "torque-fill" effect. Sounds about right, considering that Ricardo engineering is part of the genius behind the McLaren P1.
Perhaps most exciting of all, the Ricardo folks say that the package should run somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,100. A sort of performance-hybrid that makes sense for the frugal driver and the enthusiast one, then. There's a lot more to the HyBoost, all of which can be seen in the video below.
