first of all I'd like to say this is a great truck and the only reason I'm selling it is because my wife and I are having our first baby and we really don't need a lifted 4 x 4

let's get to the good stuff this is the last of the 7.3 L diesel is a great motor!!!!! my mechanic tells me that this truck has had a bit of performance work he believes that it has bigger injectors and turbo and a different program. automatic with a gear vendor overdrive ($3200) lifted with 35 inch tires in the last year I have replaced the tires and wheels I have had all the fluids changed i.e. coolant, trans, differentials, transfer case, it has had regular oil changes, I also replaced all four ball joints and tie rod ends. Replaced the steering box and drag link. And the radiator
it only has 175,000. Which means it has a lot of life left.  it has a Linex spray in bed liner. sway bars front and rear . Receiver hitch and B&W Gooseneck hitch flush mount in the bed. The interior is starting to show signs of wear, but the leather is still soft but one seam in the driver seat has split. I have also updated the grill and the headlights. It also has LED tail lights. In the last year I have driven this truck to Vancouver Canada, Los Angeles, Reno, San Francisco, Mammoth Lake, with absolutely no problems.
You can feel confident that this truck will drive anywhere you want it to!!!

Please look at all photos carefully

If you have any questions on this truck please call me at 209-204-2239

I will ship worldwide and assist you in shipping in any way I can.

FYI: this truck does have a salvage title due to theft recovery when I bought it it was missing the seats , driver-side fender, hood, wheels and tires.

Thank you for looking at my auction and good luck
Phil

First Ford Mustang prototype shots caught by legendary spy shooter Jim Dunne

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

You know how people refer to someone as having "been around the block" to mean they're very experienced? Well, when it comes to automotive spy photography, Jim Dunne actually laid down the concrete slabs of the block's sidewalk. The unforgettable Dunne more or less invented the car spy game - a fact he cemented by writing book called Car Spy - and has been delivering spy shots and reporting on the industry for some 45 years now. (He also once employed this writer as his impromptu personal chauffer on a Volkswagen trip in Germany, while he slept, but that's a story for a different time.)
In any event, Dunne must be on a mission to prove that "elder statesman" doesn't also mean "washed up" as it is his shots of the upcoming new 2014 Ford Mustang that we've been handed by our friends at KGP Photography.
Mr. Dunne has likely spent the last few years obtaining powerful telescopic lenses, as the Ford in question has clearly been photographed from some distance. Nevertheless, what you see here is visual evidence that the sixth-generation Mustang has moved beyond the mule stage, and is now testing in proper prototype form. Sources indicate that there are production-spec body panels under that baggy canvass dress; but the slightly less bulky silhouette of the new car can be just made out. While the car's bumpers have been removed to obfuscate things, we can tell by way of the camo's apertures that the car's taillights have moved upwards and towards the lip of the tail. A fender vent appears to be visible, too, just behind the front wheel.

Report: GM struggling to market turbo technology

Tue, 20 Apr 2010

In the automotive realm, marketing can sometimes prove just as important as the actual product. Take, for instance, Ford's well regarded EcoBoost technology, which couples turbocharging with direct injection to produce more horsepower and reduce fuel consumption. Would it surprise you to hear that General Motors has had similar technology on the market for over three years?
It's true. GM's first turbocharged, direct injected powerplants hit the market for the 2007 model. The 2.0-liter Ecotec mills put down an impressive 260 horsepower and a matching 260 pound-feet of torque, and they were lauded by the press in the engine bays of the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet Cobalt SS and Chevrolet HHR SS. But few people outside a core group of enthusiasts actually remember this fact.
Says Uwe Grebe, executive director of GM's global advanced engineering, "We didn't have a badge and say, 'This is the most important thing we will put on all our brochures.'" Ford, however, did just that, and it's EcoBoost engines are right at the tips of all our tongues when we discuss today's most advanced powerplants. So, how does The General fix its mistake?

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.
