This is my 2002 Ford F250. It has just under 84,000 original miles. The vehicle is in excellent condition for its age, but does have some very minor rust beginning. But really the only visible rust is a quarter sized spot on the rear passenger fender. There is some other rust beginning on the absolute bottom of the doors on the inside behind the weather strip, but the vehicle still looks great.
I am the second owner of this vehicle. Both myself and the previous owners are non-smokers and the inside of the vehicle is in excellent/clean condition. The only known issue with the vehicle is that the vacuum actuation of the 4x4 isn't working. However, the 4x4 does still work and works fine, you just have to lock the hubs. Typically on these Fords, this is caused by a problem in the hub seal inside the hub assembly, which is a relatively cheap/easy fix. Here are the options: - 4x4 - Power Windows - Power Locks (no FOB/keyless entry though) - Rear Slider (manual) - 8 ft. bed (w/spray in bedliner) - Tow Hitch w/Trailer Brake Controller I also installed an Alpine radio that is Bluetooth equipped. Replaced the OEM speakers. I have the original equipment and it will come with the vehicle. Additionally, the tires on this vehicle are almost new all the way around. The truck starts/drives/runs flawlessly as you'd expect from it's condition and mileage. It's had an easy life. Previous owner redid a lot of the front end, so you won't have to deal with that anytime soon. The vehicle drives straight and true. I'm only parting with this truck because it's simply too big for my needs. This is a very big truck, so if you're not familiar with a 3/4 ton extended cab with an 8 ft. bed, make sure you understand its size. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Ford Escort returns, just not for US
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Ford is set to give the burgeoning Chinese market its very own C-segment model, while also reviving one of the brand's more notable nameplates. The new Escort, which will make its world debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show will be built in the People's Republic at the Changan Ford joint venture facility.
The Escort's exterior is best thought of as a mix of the finer points from the US market Focus and Fusion, with the Aston Martin-ish grille and narrow, wraparound taillights presenting a clean look at either end of the car. It's all fairly true to the concept car from last year's Shanghai Motor Show. That said, this exterior job is almost too clean. There doesn't seem to be a lot of character or substance beyond the typical Ford looks.
There's a similar issue in the cabin - it all looks pretty nice, but the design is rather plain, particularly when viewed alongside the display-filled cabin of a US-spec car. Still, there looks to be a fair amount of space in both the front and back seats, and the trunk isn't exactly tiny, either.
Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.
