Hello guys. I purchased this vehicle from a police auction in Columbus Ohio. Every vehicle sold there is issued a SALVAGE TITLE, after passing a BMV inspection it receives a REBUILT SALVAGE TITLE. A quick check of the auto report will verify that this vehicle has never been "totaled", nor had flood damage, therefore the "rebuilt salvage" label is a technicality. You can also call the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, which is listed as the previous owner. The good: I had a locksmith make a key - it started instantly (after waiting for the glow plugs, of course) doesn't smoke, and it passed the "blow by" test. I am not a mechanic, but the engine is strong; it will get up and go. The bad: Besides needing a little TLC (crack in driver side mirror, dime sized hole and missing handle on tailgate, dent in rear quarter panel that looks like someone "butted" or kicked it) there is a noticeable hesitation when shifting from 1 to 2 gear. It happens when you press too hard on the accelerator pedal from a stopped position. However, If you gradually press it, or slightly take your foot off of the pedal when you notice the hesitation, it will shift fine.I was told it could be a fuel filter, fuel pump, stuck valve in transmission accumulator or a broken spring in the accumulator, which can be fixed for less than a few hundred buck by dropping the transmission pan. (Youtube accumulator for this model) As I said, I am not a mechanic, but there is a lot of life left in this truck, If you have mechanical knowledge and ability, here is an inexpensive truck for you. If you believe that you know what the issue is and want to fix it here, that is OK, if you live far away, you should tow it home. If not for the shifting issue, I wouldn't be afraid to drive this truck anywhere in the country. Reserve is low. Thanks for looking.
On Sep-18-13 at 09:10:05 PDT, seller added the following information:
Whatever the shifting issue is, it is not major, this best describes what the truck is experiencing. THE ENGINE IS STRONG! Read my description again.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP-TXqC3f9g

Want to buy a brand-new 1964 Ford Mustang? [w/video]
Wed, Mar 18 2015Even in its current iteration, the Ford Mustang is not without its share of heritage design cues. But if it's a more classic look of the first-gen pony car you're after, combined with modern levels of equipment, Revology just might have the answer. The Orlando-based company makes what you might call "continuation" Mustangs, using replica steel bodies made by Dynacorn and licensed by Ford to give it that classic look, but with modern technology. Under the skin you'll find a 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 with 265 horsepower and either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, but the powertrain is just the start. It's also got a MacPherson strut suspension, disc brakes, power steering and a cabin equipped with such modern accoutrements as power door locks and seats, keyless entry, intermittent wipers, even Bluetooth connectivity. And it's all covered by a one-year, unlimited-milage warranty, plus five-year corrosion protection and three-year powertrain warranty. Of course none of that comes cheap, as a turnkey Revology Mustang will set you back at least $119,500, in the buyer's choice of fastback or convertible body-styles. The first example was unveiled at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance this past weekend, with the first customer examples set for delivery next year. This content is hosted by a third party. How Ford switched gears for the all-new F-150
Fri, Mar 6 2015Editor's Note: This story is authored by Julia Halewicz, a senior editor with AOL's Custom Solutions Group. She holds a Masters in Journalism from NYU and has spent her career as an editor of various newspapers, magazines and digital outlets. Last year on the Friday before Labor Day, the 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck came off the Dearborn assembly line for the last time. After the last seam was welded, the F-150 that had been so beloved by American consumers would begin the transition from traditional steel manufacturing to an aluminum body, and the second phase of Ford's 2007 blueprint for sustainability would begin. Jobs would be created, and Ford would deliver a stronger product to its consumers. It was a moment Ford would call the biggest in the company's 111-year history. Breaking The Mold For some, the change was almost unfathomable. How could a truck be made with aluminum, and why change what clearly was working very well for the company? "We have a saying at Ford that leaders lead," said Doug Scott, the company's truck group marketing manager. "This was an ideal product to make with aluminum-alloy, because lightweighting made so much sense for a truck, because the extent to which you could take weight out of a truck, you could add more value to the customer in terms of more towing, more payload, more durability, more efficiency – so again all this required us to be out in front further out in front that we normally would be to make sure that we would deliver on all those expectations." Ford began the planning process about five years before the first aluminum F-150 would come to market. The company had a lot of questions. What was customer acceptance of aluminum, could they build the truck, and could the truck be repaired out in the field? Finally, Ford needed to determine if there were enough materials available to support the demand for the F-Series. Aluminum vehicles aren't unusual, but had never been built on the scale of the F-150 – approximately one every minute. Ford created two prototypes to determine if the product would meet and exceed consumer expectations. Any change to the vehicle had to be justified in performance, safety and economy. An aluminum truck needed to be safer, lighter, have increased payload, haul more, and have improved fuel efficiency. After driving the prototypes, Ford knew it was ready to move forward. Once the aluminum truck was ready to build, the next challenge was quickly transforming the plant.
