I have for sale a 1997 Ford F250HD. This truck is being sold as a parts truck. I have a clear title in hand and if you would like to have the title under your name I am willing to send it in and have it changed over to my name and then to yours. If there are any questions regarding this please ask before bidding. Now to start with the truck. I bought this truck to fix another wrecked truck. I took the front end including all body parts the radiator and the AC condensor off the front along with the front radiator support along with all of the lights. Other than that the rest is there. I drove the truck before taking it apart and the transmission shifted great through all of the gears. The transfer case also worked fine along with all of the 4X4 drive train. As you can tell by the pictures I have parted out some other parts of the truck. Most of the plastic on the inside has been taken off the truck as well as the bed. The seats are all in good condition but the center seat does have a broken lid but other than that it is also in good condition. The wheels on the truck are stock aluminum wheels. The tires on the truck are 70% still in great condition. The hood to the truck is included and has what I belive to be rock dents only because the rest of the truck shows no signs of hail damage. The motor is a 460 with 138000 miles on it. When I bought the truck I was told that it had a blown head gasket. There is water in the oil and I never looked further into the problem. I am selling the truck as a parts truck as stated before. Although I do not ship I would be willing to work out a deal if it has been planned before the end of auction. I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to the vehicle being for sale locally as well. The vehicle does not have a warrenty nore are any applied. 2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.
