Hard to find 96 crew cab short bed F250 XL 4x4 Powerstroke turbodiesel 7.3L. Has a Jasper remanufactured automatic transmission. 5in exhaust from downpipe back. No cat. Runs and drives great. Interior is in fantastic condition. Only a few small blemishes. Kenwood stereo with USB and Pioneer speakers for tunes. Fenders and bedsides have been cut for 37in tires I believe. Previous owner didn't do the best job. Inner fenders have been removed. Needs a new tailgate. Has a few bumps and dents here and there on the body. The driver's door has a fairly good dent and some rust on the underside of the door. The rest of the body is mainly rust free. Looks like the core support might need replacing due to a little bit of rust which is very common for these. Aggressive 265/75r16 tires with decent tread on aftermarket wheels that look great with no damage. Frame has some surface rust but no structural damage or rust. ABS light comes on occasionally. Glass is good. Brakes are good. Drives straight. 4x4 works well. Lock out hubs. I may be forgetting something but you can look at detailed pictures of all the problem areas here:
I have described the truck to the best of my knowledge and ability. The truck is AS-IS with NO REFUNDS. Bid to buy. I can assist in shipping or possibly deliver the truck depending on how far. Thanks and happy bidding! On Oct-26-13 at 10:15:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: Ebay won't let me post the photobucket link for some reason. Message me for it. It includes detailed pictures of all the problem areas. Also, I forgot to mention that the taillights need some wiring attention. They stay on whether or not the headlights are on. I end up just unplugging the harness every time I drive it. On Oct-26-13 at 13:46:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry one more revision: The truck is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Happy bidding! |

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
Ford to reveal Vignale sub-brand with special Mondeo in Frankfurt
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Ford says that 10-15 percent of its customers in Europe want their cars to be set apart from regular Fords - even those wearing the top Titanium X trim - and the Blue Oval will answer them with the Vignale sub-brand. The new brand proposes a more upscale look and a much-improved dealership experience, Autocar reports. The Vignale Mondeo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to kick off the new endeavor.
The first Ford to receive the Vignale treatment will be the 2015 Mondeo, a Euro-only model, followed by the new S-Max and Edge. The Vignale Mondeo is set apart visually from other Mondeos by a chrome grille and chrome door handles and mirror caps. Mondeo badging will be deleted - only Vignale badging will make an appearance.
The interior will get a more upscale flavor, as well, with quilted leather seats and door trim and leather covering the instrument panel, center console and steering wheel. A Vignale-badged storage drawer will be installed in the trunk, and in-car Wi-Fi is available.
Ford family keeps special voting rights
Fri, 10 May 2013Ford Motor Company has a dual-class stock structure of Class A and Class B shares. The roughly three billion Class A shares are for the general public like you and me, while the roughly 71 million Class B shares are all owned by the Ford family. Each Class A share gets the shareholder one vote, each Class B share is worth 16 votes, the result being that Common Stock holders control about 60 percent of the company while the Ford family controls 40 percent even though it holds far fewer shares. The only way that could ever change would be if the Fords sell their Class B shares, but even so, Class B shares revert to Class A when sold outside the family, so they'd have to sell a whole bunch of them.
A contingent of Class A shareholders think the dual-class system is unfair, and for the past few years a vote's been held during the annual shareholders meeting to end it. It has failed every time, as it just did again during the meeting held this week. A smidge over 33 percent voted to end the dual system, outvoted by the 67 percent who are happy with the way Ford is going - unsurprising in view of a corporate turnaround that will be part of business-class curricula for years to come.
On the sidelines, Ford elected Ellen R. Marram to the post of independent director, the first woman to hold the job. The former Tropicana CEO and 20-year Ford board member replaces retiring board member Irvine Hockaday who helped bring Alan Mulally to the CEO position.
