This is not what I consider to be a "show" truck or want to represent it as one!!!

I bought it last fall to be a father son project and got this far with it. Father and son have chosen to go different ways. It's up for sale and it still needs other minor things to be done. It was used in an Avocado Orchard just outside Los Angeles. Driven by the owner of the orchard for the last 20 or so years just on the property. The paint was sun faded and he had it been painted recently. There are some small dents here and there as well. Just the outside body panels were painted no door jams, under the hood & etc.   The clear coat has some small runs here and there I think about 4 spots. It had no tailgate when I bought it so I got one and had it painted the color is "slightly" off. Window rubber/felt have been replaced. I have new Cab to door rubber that you'll get that has not been put on yet. Its the rubber seal that it glued on cab which seals the door when its shut.

Bought and installed by Best Buy Kenwood Stereo and speakers. It has Bluetooth, Pandora, Aux & USB ports AM/FM CD Sirius radio ready.

A/C has been converted to R134 and Works very well.

Wheels & Tires are  LT 315/70R/17 about 40% tread left on the tires

7.5L (460), 4 Barrel Carb,

PWR Windows, Locks, Tilt Steering,

All modes of 4X4 work with no issues.

This is what I remember for things that need to be done.

Dash all cracked (still is), Cruise not working, Gauge while on the rear tank stays on "E" even when its full, For whatever reason when you fill the "rear tank only" at a CA pump the pumps shuts off right away. You have to use the slow setting on the handle. If you take a gas can and fill it, the gas flows in it with no issues. As fast as you can pour it in. A small exhaust leak on the passenger side most everyone of my friends tell me that they don't hear it that's how small it is. Yes it does have minor leaks, I get a drip of something if it sits for 2/3 days, It did have a leak at the oil pressure gauge, new one installed. I do not have the top part of the 5th wheel hitch. It did have a very old electric brake assist and it was removed. All7 pin connectors work, the one in the bed and under the bumper. Back window slider latch is broken.

I'm looking to get a 100% rating with this transaction. I think I have accurately described it the best I can.

If you have any concerns call/contact me thru ebay "before" the deal is done. I want you to be satisfied!!!

I work for myself so taking the truck to a shipper in the LA area or meeting one at my residence is not an issue. It can stay for up to 30 additional days at no charge. It will be parked in my garage during the extra time. Any damage unforeseeable during that time is not my responsibility. Its just my wife and me who live at home, we understand that its your new baby. Accidents happen!!!

I can take a credit card thru my business for any amount of the purchase with 3% added "in person" preferred. I can take it over the phone but get charged a higher percentage, passed on to you.

Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.

Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.

It's Official: Ford Names Mark Fields Its Next CEO

Thu, May 1 2014

Alan Mulally, the man who transformed Ford Motor Co. from a dysfunctional money-loser to a thriving company, will retire July 1 and be replaced by Mark Fields, the current chief operating officer. During his eight-year tenure at Ford, Mulally gambled all of the company's assets on a credit line that kept Ford out of bankruptcy, then used a simple "One Ford" plan to change the company's culture. He was hired away from aircraft maker Boeing Co. in 2006 by Bill Ford, who at the time was running the company. Fields, 53, has been in charge of Ford's daily operations since December of 2012 and was widely expected to one day ascend to the top job. The change in leadership is taking place about six months ahead of schedule, but Ford said that was based on Mulally's recommendation that the new leaders were ready. "Alan and I feel strongly that Mark and the entire leadership team are absolutely ready to lead Ford forward, and now is the time to begin the transition," Bill Ford said in a statement Thursday morning. Bill Ford, the company's executive chairman, is the great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford. Mulally, 68, was trained as an aeronautical engineer. He spent 36 years at Boeing - and was president of the company's commercial airplane division - when Bill Ford lured him to the struggling automaker eight years ago. Mulally overcame skepticism about being an outsider in the insular ranks of Detroit car guys by quickly pinpointing the reasons why Ford was losing billions each year. Mulally put a stop to the infighting that had paralyzed the company and instituted weekly management meetings where executives faced new levels of accountability and were encouraged to work together to solve problems. It took two years for Mulally to turn the company around, but since 2009, Ford has posted pretax profits of $34.5 billion and its shares have more than doubled. Fields was one of the executives passed over when Mulally got the top job in 2006. When he was named COO in 2012, Bill Ford said Fields' decision to stay at Ford and learn from Mulally showed a lot of fortitude and has made Fields a better leader. "There was a lot of speculation about whether he was capable. To his great credit, he stuck to it, he learned from it and showed tremendous fortitude in grinding through an incredibly difficult process," Bill Ford said. This marks the second change in leadership at the top of one of the Detroit automakers this year.
