85k original miles. If you are looking for a nice old Ford Pickup this is the one for you. I am the 3rd owner after looking for a long time to find one that wasn't all rusted out, originally from WA. Its got a 400 with a C6 tranny, high pinion king pin Dana 60 front axle with 410 gears and all new bearings, U joints, seals, gears, hubs and a Yukon Grizzly locker. New 17x8 Ultra Wheels with 37/12.50/17in BFG KM2's. New shocks, break lines and new exhaust from headers back with 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. New 36 gallon rear tank and the front one is 18 gallons. The lift is 1999 SuperDuty 6" springs. Cross over steering from Sky Manufacturing. The original equipment of this truck include A/C (blows cold), cruise control, tilt wheel and AM/FM CB radio which doesn't have a mic. I have also stripped and painted the cab floor with POR 15 and used Dynamat before installing the new carpet. New door seals and scuff plated on inside of door jams. The paint is mostly original with the exception of the P/S door, but it all still looks pretty good. Some damage from hauling cabover camper by previous owners as you can see in the pics.
This truck looks good/sounds good and gets lots of looks everywhere it goes.

Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta
Tue, 17 Jun 2014The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.
The U-2 spy plane needs high-performance cars to help land
Thu, Oct 15 2015Typically, aircraft deploy their landing gear from three main points. Most military aircraft, for example, deploy two gears at the back and one forward, like a tricycle. Some civilian aircraft flip the layout, with two in front and one in back - tail-draggers. The U-2 Dragon Lady is wildly different than any of these. With a 103-foot wingspan but a body that's just 63-feet long, the layout of the U-2 makes a traditional landing setup infeasible. Instead, the U-2 utilizes a pair of wheels, one up front and one in back. With such a bizarre layout, landings are so tough that since the U-2's earliest flights at Area 51, the US Air Force has used high-performance chase cars to guide the pilot down safely. The landing process isn't over there, though. As this video from Sploid shows, balancing out the aircraft to fit the detachable "pogos" – think training wheels for spy planes – is a comical procedure requiring a number of airman using their full body weight to even out the U-2. This video also recaps some of the great vehicles that have served as chase vehicles for this legendary spy plane. They include Chevrolet El Caminos, and the Fox-body Ford Mustangs so favored by the California Highway Patrol. For the last several years, the USAF has utilized products from General Motors, using fourth-generation Chevy Camaros, before switching over to the Pontiac GTO and most recently, the awesome Pontiac G8. It's fair to say that if you're a gearhead in the Air Force, this is the job you want. Check out the video, embedded up top.
