I have my 78 up for sale, here is the scoop:
New engine rebuild approx 3,000 miles ago (351M) Not the 400
Motor and truck have only 60,000 actual miles
Rust in bed floor, all the way through, although it is usable.
Rust in cab floor, hole on driver side, rot on passenger side.  Easy fix.
Rust on passenger rear spring hanger, $35 part, I can help you get it if needed.
Driver side headlight bezel is cracked, along with side marker lens.
Drive side door was hit and buckled a bit.
Both doors have rot on bottoms, but are still rigid.
Turn signal on front right does not blink from outside truck...blinks in the cluster.
Here is what I have done to the truck:
1.  Installed all new bulbs behind instrument cluster, cleaned all parts.
2.  Installed new antique looking radio with new speakers.
3.  Removed headliner, kept all brackets and headliner.
4.  Replaced heater core with high output model, cleaned and painted all parts that were showing rust.
5.  Have new dash bezel, made in usa, with woodgrain.
6.  Removed door interior door panels
7.  New Radiator
8.  New Gas Tank (only has one)
9.  Brake and Trans lines are newer and in good shape.
10.  Rims are from a Hummer
11.  4x4 works perfectly
12.  Has Dana axles not sure exactly what each is...I think 60 front 70 rear?
13.  3speed tranny
13.  New Edelbrock filter
14.  Engine and truck start, stop and run great!
15.  Has new hitch with clean wiring plug in
16.  I have a rust free (meaning surface rust only, no rust through)bed from Arkansas that goes with truck (see pics, it is mint green)
17.  I have a rust free (meaning surface rust only, no rust through)complete tailgate off of a 79 that goes with truck (see pics, it is white)
18.  I have a list of parts and costs to restore using LMC, I can send with you.

Here is the bottom line:  The truck runs, stops and starts great.  I have driven it to Toledo and back 4 times without ANY problems at all.  I drive it around town whenever without problems....it runs great!  Newer engine, everything works except front blinker, see above.  I bought it to restore with my dad, but now I have to fix a basement wall from caving in....must sell soon.  Here are the approximate prices I paid for the all items.

Ford highlights new F-650 and F-750 with full-size Tonka show truck [w/videos]

Thu, Mar 5 2015

Who among us hasn't been tempted by the prospect of buying a big yellow truck and painting the name Tonka along the side? Well apparently there were some folks over at Ford who were just as tempted, only they actually had the means to make that childhood fantasy a reality in the form of the truck you see here. Revealed at the NTEA Work Truck Show this week in Indianapolis, this Tonka show truck stands nearly 10 feet tall. It's painted bright yellow, just like the one you played with in the sand box (and probably still would given the opportunity and maybe no one else looking) and has a blacked-out nose treatment and special graphics. As you can see, it's also equipped with a working dump bed, and has a truly staggering 33,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating, built to showcase the Blue Oval's new line of medium duty trucks. Of course "medium duty" is a relative term, and the new F-750 is clearly a heavier piece of machinery than the company's own Super Duty pickups, but they're lighter-duty than a proper big rig. The new 2016 Ford F-650 and F-750 are just as tough as the models they replace, but they're now quieter and more comfortable to use. In fact, Ford says its 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel is now 25-percent quieter inside the cabin at highway speeds, 45-percent quieter at idle and 35-percent quieter standing outside in front of the grille. Ford notes that it's the only medium-duty truck manufacturer that makes its own engines and transmissions. That Power Stroke diesel comes with 270 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque as standard, but can be upgraded to 300 hp and 700 lb-ft or all the way up to 330 hp and 725 lb-ft. Commercial buyers will also be able to choose between Regular, Super and Crew Cab models with a straight-frame, dock-height or tractor-towing frames, meaning that whatever it is you've got to haul, chances are high that the new Ford F-650 and F-750 can be set up to get the job done.

2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."

10 most memorable cars and SUVs of 2019

Tue, Dec 24 2019

It's no surprise that a car reviewer will drive a large number of cars over the course of a year. Indeed, when the clock strikes midnight on Dec 31, I will have driven 75 new cars, trucks and SUV this year (and one old Peugeot) over the course of weekly evaluation loans and first drive events. That sure seems like a lot. Some definitely got more attention than others, and some came and went without leaving much of an impression – I completely forgot I drove a Kia Forte. Yet in the spirit of this day, I thought I'd pick the 10 that I would love to see under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning. You know, just in case you were looking to get me something. I'll also throw in a couple disappointments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. They'd get sent back to the store on Boxing Day. Lexus LC 500 Pictured below and resplendent in its Flare Yellow metallic paint, the car that would reach highest on my list is the divine Lexus LC 500. As a devout lover of GT cars, the LC ticks all the boxes. Muscular and characterful engine? V8, check. Beautifully made and memorable interior? It's gorgeous, to hell with Remote Touch. Check. Comfortable and reasonably practical? Superb seats and, uh, yeah. Makes me want to stand there and stare at it? You bet. Though I long figured my heart would say LC but my head "Porsche 911," after this go-around, that's no longer the case. LC, pretty please. 2020-lexus-lc500-f34-2 View 19 Photos Polestar 1 I actually feel lucky that I got to drive the Polestar 1. Only 150 will be produced each year, and it's a far more special thing than it would initially appear. And that's despite initially appearing to be a beautiful, classic two-door GT car with a roof so rakish it's only possible because it's made of carbon fiber. That itÂ’s a massively powerful plug-in hybrid with more all-electric range than any other PHEV is a thick dollop of whipped cream on a slice of Toscakaka. You know, Swedish dessert, Swedish car. Fine, I'll stick to Ikea references.  Polestar1_Launch_SanFrancisco-0014 View 44 Photos Volvo V60 Cross Country Speaking of Sweden, did I drive this car off the road there? Sure did! And despite this, the V60 Cross Country scratches that certain wagon itch and looks sensational to boot. I wish it were available with the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it's best not to get greedy at Christmas.
