1976 Ford F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 with Utility bed.
Dana 60 Kingpin Front axle 4.10 gears
Dana 60 FF Rear axle 4.10 gears w/factory limited slip
NP 435 4 Speed manual transmission
Divorced 205 Transfer case
360
35" BFG K/O All Terrains with 70% tread
New radiator and hoses
New Fuel Filter
Body is straight except for the damage on the passenger doors in the pictures (whomever did it was talented, as it didn't affect the cab, just the door skins) and the usual dings an old truck would have.
Truck runs and drives, but needs some TLC to be a reliable daily driver or work truck, either clean it up a little and drive it or make it a 4x4 project.
This Trucks whole life was spent in AZ, Shipped here from the assembly plant.  No Rust to speak of, drip rail areas are immaculate.  Just Browned patina.

I bought it for the axles, but I like old 4x4's and don't want to part out or chop up a solid old matching everything rust free truck, which we all know are becoming hard to find with everyone modifying everything.
Major problems are the brakes pull, exhaust leak on front of passenger side manifold, rod ends on tie rod need replacing (probably original by the looks of them), tires are good tread but have dry rot from sitting outside on the truck (would use them around town, not on the highway), has 2 full size spares in the bed, few minor engine oil leaks, engine runs rough STORY The truck sat behind a dealership for a # of yrs, multiple mechanics tinkered with it trying to get it running, adding a new radiator and hoses along with cleaning the carb, changing the oil, and filters, but no one drained the gas, only added some new fuel. The night I flat towed it home, I drained 15 gallons of "apple juice" looking gas from the stock in cab tank (the "fuel" if I could call it that, barely burned with a match), after charging the batter and adding new fuel, it fired right up. Every morning for the past week I go outside and start it on the first turn. It runs rough but I can drive it around my neighborhood and took it out on the pavement in a 50 mph area. Shifts good, clutch works fine, no slipping, but the brakes pull and the drivers side rod end needs replaced as it has noticeable play.

Thanks for your interest and happy bidding.

Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell revisit bitter F1 rivalry in... Ford Fusion campaign?

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Formula One World Champions Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell haven't been on good terms since the 1986 season, when Piquet joined Mansell at the Williams team and Piquet spent the year privately fuming about not being granted the status of number one driver. Things only got worse from there - even though Piquet won the title the following year with Williams, still partnered with Mansell, the fuming was a lot less private.
They're back together after a 25-year silence, in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil to drive the new Ford Fusion. Called "Fusion Grand Prix," both men get the new Ford sedan, prepped to their liking - but still street legal, we assume - for a race to decide... well, who is faster behind the wheel of a Fusion.
There will be four episodes, with the first two having already aired. The third episode comes on January 29 and the race happens February 5. You'll find two video episodes and a press release below, but note - because it's a campaign for Ford Brazil, Piquet's dialogue in the vids isn't translated, so hit the Closed Captioning button to hear his side of the smack talking.

Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."
