Up for sale is my 1970 Ford F250 Highboy.. This truck is a rust free west coast truck.. Originally from California then later in its life it ended up in Oregon, where I purchased it from. The Truck is rust free with exception to some surface rust in the bed and some around the door weather stripping.. These trucks are extremely hard to find in rust free condition.. The gentleman I purchased the truck from stated that the original owner had a slide in camper that he hauled in the bed of the camper and never was used as a work truck.. The original owner replaced the original 360 with a 460 some time ago. The 460 runs good has a little blow by no knocks or taps. Starts right up, has a electric choke. The mileage on the engine is unknown. The truck appears to have been repainted in certain areas with some amateur body work to repair dents.. Original paint colors were Mojave tan with a wimbleton white roof. Has factory am radio that works great, cargo light that still works, original ford rubber floor mat, sport custom trim. vintage Kelsey hayes brake controller that works great, 7 prong and 6 prong trailer plugs on the rear.. The truck has 3 fuel tanks that all work, The one behind the seat is the only one that has a fuel gauge. rides nice down the road, no slop in steering. The doors close nice with no play in the hinges.. Tires are old, will need balancing or replacement. No power options manual brakes and steering.. Really not to hard to steer or stop with the smaller tires on it.. Ok heres the issues the truck has: the pass side window regulator is bad, have to manually raise window up and down. The motor smokes a little when first started, prob needs valve seals. There is some bondo in the rear corner of the roof, looks like a dent was filled, couldn't imagine it being rust.. The pass side door has a dent and some surface rust where the paint was damaged.. The seat that's pictured is out of my other truck, it does not come with this truck, I will include a red NOS ford factory seat cover that can be dyed black if you wish. The original seat will be re-installed before sale. The intercom speaker under the dash is not included will be removed as well. The headliner looks like a replacement and does not fit to well. Overall this is a nice truck, I really hate to sell but have to many vehicles right now. I have a 2 wheel drive 70 f250 that I will be selling if the new owner is interested. The 2wd truck has a mint interior and would make a good parts truck Please look at all the pictures and ask questions. Please remember this truck is 43 years old and not perfect. sold as-is.

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
2015 Ford Mustang specs revealed, GT to pack 435 HP
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang sounds great so far - at least on paper. Ford has just announced specs for the latest version of the iconic pony car in Dearborn, telling Autoblog that it will pump out as much as 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque from its 5.0-liter V8.
Those gaudy figures power the naturally aspirated GT model, and they easily eclipse the "more than" 420 hp and 390 lb-ft that Ford originally estimated.
The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 310 hp and 320 lb-ft, and it's the first turbo Mustang since the 1986 SVO.
Ford reveals Fiesta ST race car, points at road ahead for bigger things in Global RallyCross
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST doesn't go on sale until this summer, but fans of Global RallyCross will be able to catch the car in action before then. Announced ahead of the Chicago Auto Show, the Fiesta ST will be the car run by Ford GRC teams this season, and the model on display in Chicago will be the racecar built by Swedish tuner OlsbergsMSE driven by Tanner Foust and Brian Deegan. Ken Block and his newly renamed Hoonigan Racing Division will also be competing in the Fiesta ST.
The 2013 GRC season has not been announced yet, but the venues will also include the summer X Games events in Brazil, Spain, Germany and, of course, Los Angeles. Ford announced that it will be the sole automotive sponsor of this year's summer X Games, and it will be looking to bring home a gold medal this year after Block placed silver last year.
In other Ken Block- and Ford-related news, another Chicago debut will be a tuned Focus ST called the TrackSTer project. Built in cooperation with Block, Ford and automotive tuner fifteen52, the TrackSTer will get plenty of styling, performance and handling upgrades. Some of the add-ons include a performance exhaust and short-throw shifter from Ford Racing, a rebuilt engine, upgraded components such as the limited-slip differential, intercooler, engine controller and clutch as well as upgraded brakes.
