1954 Ford F250

This classic fatfender beauty was purchased in 2009, restored and updated.  It features the original 223 inline 6 cylinder engine (which was rebuilt) and 3 speed manual HD transmission.  NO overheating problems at all.  Truck runs down the road straight and fine.  Tires were new last year. Front disc brakes and a dual master cylinder were added along with a toyota power steering conversion.  All new hoses and brake lines installed. New steel fuel tank installed. This truck was stripped down to the frame and redone.  The stock suspension was overhauled with new kingpins and bushings. Frame was scrubbed and coated with POR 15. All the wiring has been converted over to new 12 volt negative ground.  New battery and alternator with all new wiring.  New carpet and custom interior installed. All new glass installed. The original dash instruments were not hooked up except for speedo and odometer (they are accurate and work).  I installed a new gauge cluster that gives better readings than the stock gauges ever did.  It starts and runs good.  We have driven this truck over 1300 miles since it was road ready last year.  The rear end was changed out to a Dana 44 (3.73 gears).  Allows the truck to run at 65-70mph down the highway.  It features a custom wooden flatbed with decorative stake sides. This truck was rebuilt as a daily/weekend driver, not a show truck. It still has some small dings but any rust was removed long ago. It is 95% finished. Needs a e-brake cable and driver side door latch needs replaced. Drive it like it is or spend the time at your pace to finalize it. The paint job is new but has not been wetsanded out and buffed.  Family obligations are forcing me to sell the truck now. It has a clear Michigan title. If you have LESS THAN 10 FEEDBACKS, Contact me PRIOR to bidding or I will cancel your bid.  Vehicle is for sale locally so I reserve to the right to end the auction if its sold.   Please ask any questions prior to bidding.  Willing to work with a transporter or fly in and drive it home.  Willing to sell internationally.  Truck will not be released until full payment is received. I accept CASH only or bank wire.  No checks, money orders or certified checks.  Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of close of auction.

Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks

Sun, 25 May 2014

Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.

Ford supports bid for Detroit Rallycross race with Motown-minded Fiesta ST vid

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

As Ford continues its cheerleading effort to help bring the 2014 Summer X Games to its hometown of Detroit, MI, it has released footage of its 2014 Fiesta ST Rallycross car on location at some of the city's well-known landmarks. This video appears to have been shot around the same time as the previous X Games Detroit video was made, but it focuses 100-percent on rally car action.
With Ford Racing driver Andreas Eriksson behind the wheel, this Fiesta ST lays down some serious rubber atop Detroit's Cobo Hall parking structure, at Belle Isle and around the Michigan Central Depot. Detroit isn't alone in the bid for a three-year X Games contract as Chicago, Austin and Charlotte are also hoping to play host. The winning host city is expected to be announced this summer. Scroll down for Ford's two-minute video showing the Fiesta ST Rallycrossing through the Motor City.
