You are bidding on a 2003 Ford SVT Lightning. It is in great condition for a 10 year old truck. Xtra clean and ready to roll. It has had a K&N Cold Air Kit put on it recently. It has a set of Nitto 555 Extreme Tires that have about 8000 miles on them. You can tell how low the tread wear is by one of the pics in this listing. The interior is in great condition considering the age of the vehicle. It has NEVER been to any track and drag raced. It still has factory exhaust with black painted factory tips. I think it is a cool look since the truck is white! The Idler Arm and both LH and RH inner and outer tie rod ends have been replaced along with the front springs which have Ground Force 1 1/2" drop springs in the place of the stockers giving a sweet look. I have owned the vehicle for almost three years and only put 6300 miles on it. It has always been garage kept. It has a very nice stereo system that includes a Pioneer 6200BT (has a bluetoooth speaker an a Sirius satellite radio adapter with remote control) head unit along with a JL Audio W3 10" 2ohm sub with Boston Acoustic 5 1/4 separates in all 4 corners of the truck. These speakers are all powered by a superior quality Eclipse 5 way amp. All speakers are mounted in the factory locations except for the sub. There has been absolutely no drilling of holes anywhere in the cab for any speaker or amp install. I would not allow this on any vehicle that I own. The truck has a standard K-9 alarm on it. Windows and back glass are tinted and the tint is in great shape. This is a great truck that you will be surprised as to how it looks and how good it runs.

2015 Ford F-150 to get 2.7-liter EcoBoost?
Mon, 30 Dec 2013As we prepare for the arrival of the all-new, next-generation Ford F-150, rumors about the new truck are picking up steam. Naturally, many of said rumors aren't just related to the way the truck will look (it's expected to take design cues from the Atlas concept shown above), they're tied to what's going to motivate the Blue Oval mainstay, with Ford's EcoBoost range likely to play an increasingly key role. While we're still expecting the current 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 to retain its position as a premium alternative to Ford's naturally aspirated V6 and V8, a Canadian automotive news site is proposing that the Dearborn automaker is also preparing a new, more fuel-efficient downsized EcoBoost option.
Autos.ca is reporting that a new, 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 could find its way into the lighter, aluminum-intensive truck. The new engine supposedly makes use of asymmetrical turbos to generate 320 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque - substantially more impressive numbers than the current 3.7-liter base engine's 302 ponies and 278 lb-ft - while offering improved fuel economy and emissions. The new 2.7 EcoBoost (internally dubbed "Nano") isn't expected to supplant the naturally aspirated V6 as the F-150's base engine, it's expected to slot in above directly it.
Naturally, we're prescribing more than a few grains of salt to go with these rumors, at least until Ford debuts the next F-150 at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, a reveal we'll be covering in a mere two weeks.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.
Check out the press release below for details on what Ford wants to learn from the JUSTIN Humanoid and NASA Robonaut R2, and a video of technical leader Oleg Gusikhin discussing his interest in the project.
