For your enjoyment: One 1976 Ford F – 150 Ranger. Very reasonable reserve on this hand some half-ton. This one owner estate sale truck has to be seen to be believed. It is an absolute time capsule. Although it is 37 years old. It is virtually showroom fresh by todays standards. It is unrestored. All original two tone paint jade green, chrome yellow all original interior, all original running gear. If you have been looking for an unmolested original truck, look no further. This is a 78k original and documented mileage truck. No, it's not 159K makeover truck! I have service and maintenance records since 1979. It still had the polyglass belted tires on it when I purchased it. It now has brand-new radials on it. The truck also had the 70s vintage Winnebago canopy on it that was likely installed when the truck was new. I don't think there has ever been any water exposure to the bed. The truck has always been stored indoors is whole life. It has absolutely no cancer in it anywhere! That's right, none! This isn't a vehicle that looks good in pictures then you get suckered punched upon delivery. This truck shows better in person than in picts. No smoke in mirrors,no hype, no Disappointments. Check out the pics of the bottom of the doors and the rust free metal and original paint on those pinch welds at the bottom of the Corners. This is one solid truck. There has been no modifications to the truck that I can see. It still has the original Trico wiper arms and Westinghouse headlights as delivered from the factory. Check out the pics of the bottom of the doors and the rust free metal and Original paint on those pinch welds at the bottom of the cab corners. This is one solid truck. There has been no modifications to the truck that I can see. The dealer install A/C blows ice cold! The 390 engine is smooth and quiet. It purrs like a newborn kitten at idle and roars like a lion when you open the blades of the factory 4bl Holley carburetor. No obnxious exhaust leaks that these trucks are known for no pings, rattles, Knoks, squeaks or other idiosyncrasies. The C-6 transmission shifts crisply on demand. The weatherstripping around the class is soft and pliable. No wind noise and no water leaks! All of the lights work including the overlook back up lights and license plate lamp. The aluminum trim on this truck is amazingly shiny throughout. The front chrome bumper looks like it just came from the chrome shop. Check out the tailgate nameplate, it looks brand-new! The vinyl bench seat is perfect save for one teency weency cut on the top of the seat. The dash pad is flawless and the carpet is in perfect thanks to that throwback one piece floormat that's been in there since the Carter administration! You need some tunes for cruising, no problem stock a.m. radio is loud and clear. No silly aftermarket CD players in this vintage holler. No mismatched exterior mirrors no hodgepodge brush cards and no over accessorized jc Whitney parts, Just 100% clean and stock Henry Ford! As mentioned earlier I have owner maintain records of the mileage on this truck as he kept handwritten notes of his trips, on what I presume we're fishing hunting expeditions. One of the receipts for a new muffler was from 1988. The mileage documented at that time was 55K that means this truck has been driven less than 7K Miles in 24 years! The muffler still looks new to this day. Since taking ownership of this truck and because it was sitting for quite a while I have done the following: Replaced both fuel tanks and fuel lines. All new tune up parts radiator hoses water pump, New AC compressor and lines. ASE certified tech, so rest assured items were attended to properly. I had the windows tinted with a 3M Crystalline tint that does not darken but reflects all UV and 70% of heat. $492.oo for that! The truck is equipped with factory dual tanks power steering power disc brakes push button a.m. radio. Owner installed trailer hitch. All lights and guages work properly. As I mentioned the truck is cancer free. It has a few minor scratches here and there but overall This truck is a 9 on a 10 scale. Thank you for looking.

Ford's struggles in China continue as November sales drop 8 percent
Mon, Dec 11 2017Ford's sales in China fell 8 percent in November from a year ago, following a 5 percent decline in October, the U.S. automaker said on Monday. The firm's sales in the first 11 months of the year totaled 1.06 million vehicles, down 6 percent from the same period a year ago. Ford's China sales growth has lagged behind rivals in the world's top auto market this year, with the carmaker now looking to overhaul its strategy to revive growth in China under new chief executive Jim Hackett. Among other moves, the review of its China operations will likely see Ford focus on segments such as electric cars and electric commercial vans, with China encouraging to help clean up its polluted and congested city centers. Ford is looking to roll out more new-energy vehicles for China and is planning to experiment with a more direct selling approach in a partnership with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. Ford to add Android Auto and CarPlay to 2016 SYNC 3 cars via update
Fri, May 19 2017Ford is updating a large number of 2016 model year cars equipped with SYNC 3 infotainment software, adding Android Auto and CarPlay to the vehicles with a free, over-the-air update via Wi-Fi, or using either USB or going through their dealer. The upgrade will be available for around 800,000 vehicles in total, giving a huge number of Ford car owners the chance to get big infotainment improvements without having to buy a newer model car. The OTA update option is also a big step for Ford – it's the company's first for software ever, and it's one of the major reasons that Ford recently hired around 400 new mobile smartphone engineers, the company tells me. For CarPlay, users will still also need to upgrade their vehicle's USB hub to make this work (which will also incur a dealer visit and a cost), but for those on Android, all that's required is a simple software installation. The USB install method is also faster, but the Wi-Fi update option is the start of the company's efforts to really increase its OTA update program, which will be used for security improvements as well as infotainment bumps. Even with a dealer visit and hardware upgrade for CarPlay, this sounds like a worthwhile thing for 2016 vehicle owners to do. CarPlay and Android Auto are huge upgrades vs. most in-car software, offering navigation and entertainment options that follow you from your phone to your car. Retroactively offering this kind of thing to car owners is a definite change in tone for carmakers, since they typically use these kinds of things as incentives to get people interested in vehicle model updates. But as data becomes increasingly important to automakers as a business, it makes sense to encourage greater in-car use of devices.Written by Darrell Etherington for TechCrunchRelated Video: Auto News Ford Lincoln Technology Infotainment android
California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird
Wed, Sep 3 2014A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For
