The truck was involved in a collision and the front was damaged.  Truck was fully repaired by Bump City 32 Lake Street, Oak Park IL. 708-524-9777 just over a year ago and we have all the records of the work done.  Interior of the truck is in good condition - see photos.  Drivers seat has a small tear on door side otherwise their are some scratches on some of the plastic inside the truck (doors by feet area, rear bottom of seats by feet). Exterior of the truck has a small dent in the lower rear passenger side quarter panel behind the rear wheel (see photo).  The bed has been a work bed and has scratches and small dents in it from materials and such. There is a scratch on the drivers door (see photo) and some misc nicks around the vehicle from road use.  I put new tires on the rear recently (within 5K) always have oil changes done around 3K, all lights and signals, equipment and such work perfectly.  Windows are all tinted (legal front, dark stock rears).  Auto start feature (custom). Upgraded audio system by Parrot with custom amp and touch screen controller with GPS, bluetooth sync for phone, a 4G SD card for data storage in head unit (ford steering wheel controls do not work with unit) the unit is a Parrot Asteroid - go to YouTube and enter this ID in the search engine -- TmbE6RIHPFk  This stereo unit rocks!  The amp and upgraded speakers really make the music sound great, you can sync your phone and listen to stored iPod music or apps like Pandora via bluetooth.  I changed out all the old equipment for upgraded because I really like good sounds.  Once you sync the phone to the unit it is done all you do next time is turn on the truck and the phone automatically connects, so if you get a call while listening to your tunes it pauses them to allow you to pick up the call and everything is hands free.  The unit even has a hard cable connection to directly connect the phone which will charge it and sync it.  I do not have the back up camera installed but the truck does have the back up factory sensors which work great. The amp makes the music loud and clear!  AC blows cold, truck runs great! I have a number of trucks with my company which has grown over the past year and a half and I just do not need this truck anymore.  It is my daily driver and I need to go to something more gas eficient.  If you have any questions feel free to call me directly at 708-277-3006.

Ford F-250 boots Cadillac Escalade from atop thieves' most-wanted list

Tue, 09 Jul 2013

The Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling truck for decades, but along with the good comes the bad, apparently. In addition to being popular with consumers, the Highway Loss Data Institute notes that the F-Series Super Duty has risen in popularity among thieves. Based on its new study, the four-wheel drive crew cab F-250 Super Duty has topped the list for the country's highest rate of insurance theft claims, knocking the Cadillac Escalade from the top spot - a distinction the luxury SUV has held since this annual report was first established in 2003.
To reach its findings, HLDI looks at theft data from the previous three model years (in this case 2010-2012) to determine the frequency of claims for a particular make and mode,l as well as the average payment per claim. As the report points out, the claims aren't always for the theft of the entire vehicle - they can include components (say, wheels and tires) or property taken from the vehicle. At seven claims per 1,000 insured vehicles, the F-250 is six times more likely to suffer a theft claim than the average vehicle.
The Cadillac likely dropped from the top of the list to sixth due to additional theft-prevention features including a steering wheel lock and inclination sensor for the alarm, but GM's other fullsize trucks and SUVs still occupy eight of the list's 10 spots. Some of the least stolen vehicles with below-average loss payments include the Lexus HS250h, Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and Dodge Journey. Head on over to the HLDI's website for the full list that shows the most and least popular vehicles among thieves from 2010 through 2012.

Watch how Ken Block spent his weekend in Barbados

Thu, 22 May 2014

Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. Scroll down to watch the videos and get a taste of Block's tropical racing adventure.

Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot

Sat, 11 Jan 2014

There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
