2009 F150 Supercrew
This truck is not for the average truck buyer. It is an exceptionally nice truck that has been meticulously maintained. It has never been driven in snow or ice and has never been smoked in. The truck is stored in the garage when not in use and always kept clean. It is all original with the exception of a Line-X bed liner and tonneau cover. I upgraded to Husky floor liners and will also include the original floor mats. The Husky floor liners are a very nice upgrade that provide an easy way to keep the floor clean. It has not been modified in any other way. The body and paint are perfect. I don't believe there is so much as a single rock chip anywhere. The paint is all original and has not been repainted anywhere. The wheels are perfect, with no curb rash. It's no surprise that the interior is also in perfect condition and looks and smells like new. Not only does the truck look new, but it runs and drives like new as you would expect. It is well optioned with:
Air Conditioner
Cruise control
Tilt Wheel
Power Windows
Folding Electro Chromatic Power Mirrors
Electro Chromatic Rear View Mirror
Rear Back Up Sensor
Outside thermometer
Compass
Electric Drivers Seat
Front Bucket Seats with Center Console
Cloth Seats
AM/FM/CD/MP3 Input
Microsoft Sync
4.6 Liter Engine
6 Speed Automatic Transmission with tow/haul function
Optional Factory Chrome Package -- includes step bar, wheels, bumpers and grille
60/40 Folding rear seats -- fold up to the back of the cab for full floor access

If you're not familiar with Microsoft Sync, you're sure to love it when you see what all it does. It can be "paired" to your smart phone for hands-free calling, voice commands and other phone functions. It also has Bluetooth so you can wirelessly stream music from your phone or other Bluetooth device to the stereo.

Others will claim that they have a "clean" truck, but here's the difference: Their truck has likely not been babied like mine has. Their truck has been to the detail shop where it received a lot of cover-ups to give it the appearance of a "clean" truck. Detail shops do a nice job of making vehicles look good, but can't eliminate the years of neglect that their owners have subjected them to. They will use an extractor on the carpet in an attempt to hide stains and odors that have accumulated over the years. They will clean the bottom of the vehicle and use black spray paint to cover up any rusty parts. They'll steam clean the engine compartment and sometimes use "engine clear" to give it an artificially induced clean and shiny appearance. They'll enlist the service of outside vendors to patch cigarette burns in the seats and do parking lot paint touch-up. My truck has not been subjected to these common detailing tricks because it has been meticulously cared for. I challenge you to find a nicer truck anywhere. I can't stress enough how nice this truck is. You really must see it to appreciate just how exceptionally nice it is!

If you're looking for a bargain on an average truck, keep looking. If you're looking for an exceptional low mileage truck, This is it. You won't be disappointed in this truck.

Ford posts record pre-tax Q3 profit of $2.6B

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

Ford took in $2.6 billion in pre-tax profits in the third quarter of the year, making for a record trio of months that saw the Blue Oval's year-over-year earnings increase by $426 million. The earnings are being attributed not just to improvements in North American sales, but sales around the globe.
Revenue was up 12 percent, to $36 billion, although net income took a hit, dropping $359 million to $1.3 billion. Ford was dinged with $498 million in pre-tax charges, which are being blamed for the drop in net income.
The news has boosted Ford's hopes for full-year results, bumping it's total profits up past $8 billion, according to Automotive News. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer is still expecting a loss in Europe, although it's forecasted less than the $1.73 billion it burned in 2012. In fact, according to CFO Bob Shanks, Ford's European losses dropped by 51 percent year-over year, a huge improvement for the brand.

Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test

Tue, Oct 25 2016

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
