This 2007 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson is in excellent condition and equipped by the manufacturer with a supercharger by SALEEN to give it 450HP, 500 foot pounds of torque, and an even more distinctive growl from the exhaust. The truck is a rare 105th Anniversary limited production outfitted with all the options--power seats and locks, satellite radio, 22" premium wheels, Harley bed liner and Rhino liner coating, heated captains seats in the front, fog lights and more. It has the same supercharger as the Shelby GT-500 and the sticker was around $50K brand new. I'm the original owner and have only clocked 36,000 gentle miles; no accidents and a clean car history. The car is a beast and a blast to drive, unfortunately I don't have the space to keep it so it's time for someone new to enjoy it. The truck is like new and a dream to drive. I'm including the one-page brochure seen in the photos that describes the features of the Slingshot. I have the clean title in hand for easy transfer. 2015 Ford Mustang already under recall, but just 53 units
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Ford has issued a small - but significant - recall for one of its spotlight cars: the 2015 Mustang.
The recall affects just 53 cars, with 50 in the United States and three in Canada. Ford said the passenger side safety belt buckle tension sensor may not have been calibrated properly by the supplier. This could lead to "misclassification" of the passenger seat occupant, and could cause the airbag to deploy improperly.
A Ford spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement, the automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries, and dealers will replace the buckle assembly at no cost to customers. The cars affected were built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan from Aug. 18 to Oct. 2.
Ford and GM link bonus checks to quality scores
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The poor first quarter earnings of Ford and General Motors are having an effect all the way up the food chain. Both automakers struggled with recalls in the first three months of the year, and, according to The Detroit News, they have responded by increasing the percentage of bonuses tied to vehicle quality for salaried workers, including top executives.
GM announced that 25 percent of bonuses (up from 10 percent) for all salaried workers would be tied to its vehicle quality standards. The automaker revealed in its financial report that it spent $1.3 billion on recall-related repairs in the first quarter, and net income was down 86 percent.
Ford also increased the quality proportion of bonuses for about 26,000 salaried workers all the way up to CEO Alan Mulally from 10 percent to 20 percent. The company announced in its report that the amount paid out in warranty and recall claims was about $400 million higher than expected in the first quarter. Its net income fell 39 percent from the previous year. "The change reflects how critical quality is to our overall business," said spokesperson Todd Nissen speaking to Autoblog.
