2004 FORD F150 CREW CAB - NO RESERVE!!!

2004 Ford F150 CREW CAB (4-door). 5.4 triton AUTOMATIC,V-8.  Truck is in great shape, starts right up, first shot.  I am selling because I am purchasing 2013 F150.  This is a heavy duty "FX4" model. Comes with console shifter and overhead "bins". All options operated properly and 4 wheel drive works perfect. A/C is cold.  Miles are high, but the motor is strong and pulls great, transmission shifts smoothly. There are (2) small spots of rust behind the cab (show in photos), but they are not rusted through. There is some small rust starting to "bubble" up around rear wheel wells, but it is not really bad.  The truck has a FAIR SHARE of NICKS and SCRATCHES that are concurrent with the mileage, please expect this.  I used it as a heavy duty hauler for mulch, plywood, 2x6's, painting etc, extensively, and it shows.  Interior needs a good cleaning, as it is just plain "dirty" from general use (if I have time, I will try to get it cleaned myself).  I have the heavy duty OEM rubber front mats and rear mat to catch a lot of dirt (pictured and included with sale).  Seats/headliner/carpets show no tears. Radio/CD work properly. Factory tow package avaliable (see photo below).Tonneau PRO tri-fold bed cover included in sale (pictured). Truck runs straight, smooth, and cruise control works perfectly.

NOTE:  the truck needs to have the pass side emergency brake cable replaced, I have a new one included in the sale (pictured). I have replaced the driver side one, but ran out of time to do the passenger side. It was a simple operation, just requires some time and few simple tools. ALSO, the power seat on driver side is currently in-operable because the wiring to the motor is damaged (it needs the seat removed and new wiring harness replaced, the old one has "cuts" in it from use). However, I have a quick "rig" wiring harness via cigarette lighter to adjust the seat when necessary.

Inspections good until December of 2014, no issues. Please note that this is a 9 year old truck with 164K miles, it is NOT NEW, please don't expect it, however it is not junk and has a lot of life left!  Please bid accordingly.  All buyers are welcome to come down to test-drive and inspect the truck, I am located in 08619, Hamilton, NJ. Please ask any questions:  I will be happy to answer them.

Pickup no later than 5 days after close of auction CASH or PAYPAL only, IF YOU ARE PAYING PAYPAL, please add 2% of final selling price to cover paypal costs for me. Truck is easily driveable to any location, cross country too!  I HAVE A CLEAR NJ TITLE IN HAND. I am asking for a $500 non-refundable deposit via PAYPAL within 48 hours of close of auction.  Please arrange to have the truck picked up within 5 days of close of auction,   Thanks for looking and good luck, this is a VERY NICE TRUCK FOR SOMEONE.

**If you have feedback less than "5" please email me, otherwise I will delete your bid!!!**

I do have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction early THIS IS A NO-RESERVE AUCTION, FINAL BID WINS TRUCK!!. I will consider a price to end the auction early, please contact me.

THIS TRUCK IS SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY!

2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.

Detroit 3 and UAW set for showdown over tiered wages

Mon, Mar 23 2015

This week, thousands of United Auto Workers will converge on Cobo Center in Detroit for the Special Convention on Collective Bargaining, an every-four-year event that lets members tell UAW leaders what the negotiating priorities should be during contract negotiations. This is where a lot of sand and a lot of lines start coming together in preparation for contract negotiations between the UAW and the Detroit 3 automakers, which will happen later this year. Number one on the UAW agenda is the end of the two-tier wage system created in 2007 to help the automakers get through bankruptcy; veteran workers are paid the Tier 1 rate of around $29.00 per hour, new hires are paid the Tier 2 rate of between $15 and $20 and get about half the benefits of Tier 1. Tier 2 hiring has been an undoubted success for the automakers, allowing them to keep factories in the US and hire more workers. By agreement, it is capped at a certain percentage of each automaker's workforce, and while the union's ultimate position is to get rid of the dual-scale system entirely; one leader said Ford could easily afford the $335 million it would take to convert all its workers to Tier 1 out of its $6.9 billion in 2014 North American profit, and General Motors could do the same out of the $5 billion it is handing to investors through the (admittedly forced) share buyback. Other delegates say that at the very least they'd be happy with enforcement of the current caps in the new contract. The automakers, conversely, would welcome expansion of the Tier 2 ranks. Including benefits, import automakers pay workers "in the high $40 range" per hour, according to an analyst, while Ford and GM pay about $59 in wages and benefits per hour. More Tier 2 workers on the rolls would let those two companies get labor cost parity with the competition. Fiat-Chrysler pays wages closer to the imports because of special exceptions in its UAW contract that allow unlimited Tier 2 hiring; those exceptions will end on September 14 and bring FCA into line with the other domestics, unless the new contract maintains them. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne is opposed to the two-tier system, having called it "almost offensive." One analyst says the UAW might win a sizable pay raise for Tier 2 and a small increase for Tier 1, but the keystone issue will be how the hiring matrix can help the automakers keep overall wages in line with the imports.

Watch Piquet and Mansell bend some sheetmetal in Ford Fusion GP

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

As we told you about before, there were four episodes planned for the Ford Fusion GP campaign in Brazil, and the whole series has now run its course. The Ford ads pit Brazilian Formula One driver Nelson Piquet against English F1 pilot Nigel Mansell driving the new Fusion, the two coming together again after their partnership at the Williams F1 team ended in a miserable state more than 20 years ago.
They're lined up for you below, in reverse chronological order. You should watch number three first, though, as it adds a bit more spice to the NASCAR action in the fourth.
