Nice 2001 Ford F150 4 x 4 pickup with very low miles for it's age. The truck was owned by a mechanic who took meticulous mechanical and cosmetic care of this truck. The owner purchased the truck to haul a fifth wheel camper with it and unfortunately, was only able to use it four times before getting sick. Long story short, his widow is selling off his estate and I am helping her out. The truck has some minor scratches in the bed and a broken trim rear window piece (shown in pics) where the people that purchased the fifth wheel hitch were a bit careless in removing it. The broken trim does not leak. The interior is mint with the exception of minor wear on the drivers seat from getting in and out. It has the extended cab with the rear suicide doors on both sides and they make a world of difference. As you can see from the pics, the rear seat bottoms lift up for easy cargo loading and unloading. The owner put $1200 into a completely rebuilt front end such as ball joints, tie rods, etc, so the truck handles great and the steering is tight. The truck is lifted and has reinforced suspension for towing as well as electronic trailer brakes. Other than that, the truck runs, drives, shifts and handles amazingly. I had a new flowmaster put on the vehicle with dual exhaust and it sounds great. Tires are new. Everything works on the truck. If I had the extra cash, I would be comfortable buying this truck because I know where it has been and the care that was taken of it. Please ask if you have any questions. Bidders with no or negative feedback need to inquire first. I will NOT ship this vehicle internationally. Buyer is responsible for pickup/delivery. Good luck!

Ford will probably never offer two RS models at the same time

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Autocar has some sour news for fans of go-fast Ford products. According to Roelant de Waard, Ford's president of marketing in Europe, the automaker will probably never offer more than one RS performance model for sale at the same time. That statement runs contrary earlier rumblings that suggested Ford would launch its next-generation Focus RS in 2015 and follow the hatch with a spate of other vehicles with an RS badge. But de Waard has made it clear that Ford of Europe is now focused on squarely on the next Mustang, even though there may be more RS models on the way eventually.
"What is clear is that the RS shouldn't be a series, or a car badge that we have in our portfolio all the time. It is an extreme car - something more than ST," he said.
That philosophy makes plenty of sense. We loved the old Focus RS - shown above in RS500 trim - because it was generally bonkers and plenty exclusive. Diluting either aspect is sure to end in disappointment for everyone involved.

Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.

Xcar shows how to drive the Ford Model T

Wed, Jan 21 2015

A couple of weeks ago Xcar posted a teaser review of the Ford Model T, a look at what the British duo would have been doing if they'd been doing their thing for 100 years. Now we have their complete, 12-minute take on the what might be, as they say, "arguably the most important car of the 20th century." Thankfully, instead of just a review, Xcar spends about half the time giving us a tour of history, from Ford's early days working for the Edison Illuminating Company to his racing days and founding of several car companies that either died or became other car companies after he left, like Cadillac. They also line up the pieces and the sales realities that led to Ford implementing – not creating, mind you – assembly-line production of the Tin Lizzie. And then they get into how crazy it is to drive, like how a driver needs two of the three pedals, the handbrake lever and a steering column stalk to get into high gear. Enjoy the video above on a 100-year-old car that is "unbelievably comfortable," "mildly terrifying" and ready to do just about anything.
