This 95 F-150 is a Mark III conversion, Flareside extended cab. The truck has been in the family for 11 years and has been my shop truck for many years. There have been no accidents and no major repairs since we bought the truck with 40k miles on it. This truck is very reliable, has ice cold A/C, leather interior (with wear and some tearing as you see in pictures), tow package, power rear sliding window, cruise control (works), automatic with overdrive, powdercoated 40 Ford style steel wheels (Wheel Vintiques), 34 Ford V-8 centers, stainless trim rings, BF Goodrich Radial T/A's (285/70/15 rears on 10's; 225/60/15 fronts on 8's) with 3k miles on them, all new brakes front to rear (rotors, pads, drums, shoes, hardware), new front wheel bearings, new starter last year, trans serviced at 150k miles (flush/filter/fill), and tune up at 150k (cap/rotor/plugs/wires/throttle body replaced/egr valve replaced/fuel pressure regulator replaced/new fuel filter). The truck is lowered 2" in the rear and 1 1/2" in the front (lowered coil springs). Has an incredible rake.
I have used Mobil-1 10w-30 synthetic since 75k miles, changed every 5k miles. Differential oil was changed to synthetic (Valvoline) at 150k miles. Rear showed no visible wear or alignment issues, rear bearings are excellent, diff does not leak.
The pinstriping is done by hand and was done by the late Gary Wills, "The Pioneer", and has been on the truck for many years. I will not be removing the pintstriping as part of this sale. Getting such a good truck, this cheap, if you don't like it...your elbow grease is free and have at it. The lettering is for my shop, so this is a REAL "shop truck", used daily to advertise my shop, pick up parts, tow the show trailer (1700 lbs), tow and haul finished and project bikes...you name it, it did it and it never complained.
The truck does have scratches and obvious signs of use...no, wait, "This truck has great patina!" No rust issues, solid frame, and excellent drivetrain. Don't let the miles fool you. This truck has been well taken care of...and driven only around 10k miles per year its entire life (think about that...my 08 Mazda has 120k on it already!). This truck has a lot of life left and makes a cool statement every mile.
There are issues, however. The leather seats show wear and there are several tears and pulls (rear seat is perfect). The driveline has a mild vibration that appears around 25mph and disappears around 55mph. I have had the tires re-balanced twice, but the issue has not corrected. The driveshaft does not show to have lost any balance weights...so, the next step is to check the ball joints, which I have not done. The vibration does not affect performance and is mild...but it is noticeable. The front end is correctly aligned and that is not the issue. The driver side power window "up" limiter is gone. So, you have to "stop" the window by letting off the switch when it gets to the top. The gear drive for "close" on the power rear window is stripped. You can open via the switch, then push closed. The heater is weak, but the A/C is ice cold (the "trap door" does not always move to the heat side/standard problem in Fords).
I have a clear Tennessee title in my name. I accept PayPal, cash, and credit cards (in any case, the truck will not be release until ALL funds are clear and in my hands). If you ahve any questions, please use eBay's message function. I will respond.
Of course, I make no guarantees or warranties of any kind. This truck has been nice to me for many years. It may not like you. It may break down...or, it may run for longer than you need it. In any event, once you buy it, it is yours...no whining, no takie-backsies.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
Mazda Turnpike in Japan shut down for racing
Mon, Dec 29 2014The people behind Motorhead Magazine in Japan clearly have some friends in high places. Not only did they manage to shutdown eight kilometers of the Mazda Turnpike up the Hakone mountain, but they invited some of the country's premiere racers to take a drive up the hill. This wasn't just a Sunday cruise either. Featuring a BMW Z4 from the Super GT series, a classic Ford GT40, two flavors of Nissan GT-R and two takes on the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, these guys came ready to run. When an opportunity to let racecars challenge a curvy mountain road presents itself, you don't squander it. Thankfully, the folks at Motorhead knew that and outfitted the course with a plethora of cameras and high-quality sound equipment to capture the action. The result is nothing short of sublime. Take the video's urging to turn up your speakers for this one, and watch as these racers hit ludicrous speeds in a beautiful place never meant for them. Man has surgery to remove T-Bird turn signal that's been in his arm for 51 years
Fri, Jan 2 2015In 1963, real estate agent Arthur Lampitt was driving a new Ford Thunderbird near East Peoria, Illinois on his way to an appointment when he collided head-on with a truck. A massive accident that was so bad that it was originally reported as a fatal crash, Lampitt suffered a broken hip and that became the focus of doctors' efforts. In fact, no one noticed the fact that the turn-signal stalk had been broken off the steering column and had lodged itself in Lampitt's arm. Fast-forward to around ten years ago, when Lampitt set off a courthouse metal detector because of a "slender object, about the size of a pencil" in his arm. Despite that unnerving discovery, the doctor who examined Lampitt said that since it didn't hurt, he needn't worry about it. This year, however, it did start hurting and the affected arm started to bulge. Lampitt decided to have the issue seen to, and suspected it might have something to do with his 1963 accident. When he looked through photos of the wreck taken by a friend, he noticed the turn-signal stalk of the Thunderbird missing and figured that was the culprit. After a 45-minute outpatient surgery, the surgeon verified it: a slim, slightly bent and corroded, seven-inch metal cylinder with a trumpeted end. The surgeon said a protective pocket had formed around it, which is why it could remain in Lampitt's arm so long, but it was still unusual - "We see all kinds of foreign objects like nails or pellets, but usually not this large." Lampitt, who is expected to make a full recovery, says he might make a keychain out of it, once he's done just holding it.
