I LIVE IN VEGAS IN THE WINTER AND MICHIGAN IN THE SUMMER, A FRIEND ASKED ME TO FIND HIM A NICE RUST FREE 4 WHEEL DRIVE NEVADA PICKUP TRUCK. I FOUND HIS DREAM TRUCK AND SENT HIM PICTURES AND DESCRIBED TO HIM WHAT I FELT ABOUT THE TRUCK AND THE POSITIVE THINGS ARE:
- A REMANUFACTURED ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WAS DONE BY A FORD DEALER IN 2009 SO THE DRIVETRAIN PROBABLY HAS FEWER THAN 20,000 MILES ON THEM.
- I TOOK THE TRUCK IN TO HAVE THE SHOP EVALUATE THE TRUCK AND A NEW REAR SEAL WAS INSTALLED AND THE AIR CONDITIONING FIXED AND RECHARGED.
- THE WHOLE DRIVETRAIN, BRAKES, SHOCKS, EXHAUST ETC ETC ARE IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE, THE TRUCK DRIVES SOLID WITH NO SHIMMIES, SHAKES OR ROCK AND ROLLS.
- FOR THOSE OF YOU UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LIVE IN THOSE SNOWY,COLD SALT INFESTED ROADS OUT EAST THIS TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE ONE PINHEAD OF RUST ON IT, MATTER OF FACT IT HAS LESS RUST THAN A NEW TRUCK FROM AN EAST COAST DEALER THAT HAS SIT ON THE LOT FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS. NUFF SAID ABOUT THE RUST.
- THE INTERIOR HAS NO RIPS OR TEARS ON THE SEATS AND THEY ARE RELATIVELY CLEAN TO BOOT.
NOW FOR THE NEGATIVES:
- THE REAR BUMPER IS BENT
- THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND FENDER IS CRINKLED LOOKS LIKE TRIED TO OPEN DOOR BEYOND IT'S LIMIT.
- DASHBOARD IS RIPPED.
- DRIVER SIDE VISOR IS RIPPED.
- CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON BUT THE TRUCK RUNS GOOD.
- PLASTIC COVER BELOW STEERING COLUMN MISSING.
- PLASTIC AROUND PASSENGER POWER WINDOW BROKE (WINDOW WORKS)
- I AM SUPPLYING ALL THE PICTURES POSSIBLE SO YOU KNOW WHAT IS WHAT.
I AM NOT LOOKING TO MAKE ANY MONEY ON THIS TRUCK WHICH I REALLY DON'T NEED SINCE MY GOOD FRIEND BACKED OUT OF BUYING IT AFTER TELLING ME HE WANTED IT AFTER I BOUGHT IT. THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT WORK TRUCK AS IS OR A JEWEL IN THE ROUGH WITH A LITTLE TIME AND MONEY INVESTED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING THIS ALMOST BEAUTIFUL TRUCK CALL JEANO AT 561-504-3908 EASTERN STD TIME.

Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock
Fri, Jun 12 2015Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September. Ford set to target pre-school market with next F-150 variant
Tue, Jun 17 2014How do you build a strong group of loyalists from the next generation of American drivers? You start em' young. Ford has taken that lesson to heart, as we can see in the first batch of images of the company's new entry to the pre-school market, the Power Wheels F-150. This particular example was caught returning from testing around Ford's base of operations in Dearborn, MI – covered in tiny little bits of camouflage, too. Now, this could very well end up being a collaboration between Power Wheels and Ford. Then again, it could just be some bored engineers that decided to troll the local congregation of spy photographers, who earlier today captured images of the next Focus RS and SVT Mustang. Whatever it is, it's pretty darn cool. Take a look up top for images of the new Power Wheels F-150.
Ford rolls out diesel Focus ST at Goodwood [w/poll]
Sun, 29 Jun 2014If you're in the market for a hot hatch, there are some excellent choices at your disposal - especially if you live in Europe. But if you want a diesel, well, your choices become rather more limited. Volkswagen tends to that niche market with the Golf GTD (essentially an oil-burning version of the GTI available Stateside), but that's about the extent of it. The pleas of those looking for more diesel-burning hot hatch choices haven't fallen on deaf ears at Ford, with the Blue Oval not only rolling out a facelifted gas-powered Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, but also a new diesel version as well.
The diesel Focus ST (which we hope and pray isn't marketed as the STD) packs a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four producing 182 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque to propel the oil-burning hot hatch to 62 in 8.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 135 miles per hour. With less power and only slightly more torque, that makes the diesel Focus ST considerably slower than the gasoline one, which packs 252 hp and 270 lb-ft, runs to 62 in 6.5 seconds and tops out at 154 mph, but (in a testament to how far particulate filters have come) the diesel model cuts carbon emissions by nearly a third compared to the petrol version and returns about 50-percent better fuel economy, which makes that much more of a difference in markets where diesel is already priced better than gasoline at the pump.
For buyers who wouldn't consider anything other than a diesel, it also represents 23-percent more power than the previous top-level diesel Focus. The VW Golf GTD, for reference, offers up 181 hp (just 1 horse less), 280 lb-ft (15 fewer torques) but is somehow estimated to reach 60 in a considerably fleeter 7.4 seconds.
