Up for sale is a 1989 Ford F150 XL in good condition. First owner was a oil company in Oklahoma and the second was my step son which it had 50,000 miles when he got it. I got it from him with 67,000 miles on it. The truck runs good will get you anywhere. Has been to New Jersey and back with no problem. The things it needs done is the wind shield is cracked on the passager side if the state you live in requires it. The ball joints are going to need to be replaced soon and the left tie rob is going bad but can still be driven to your house with no problem and needs an alighnment. Other then that everything else is fine and should pass inspection with no problem. We do not have inspections in Kansas so was never done here nor in Oklahoma when my step son had it. I just replaced the Radiator and Heater core. The Oil was just changed 500 Miles ago. The tire have a quarter of the tread left. The battery is only 7months old so it should last a while. The fabric on the roof was pulled down due to it hanging. The Cd player in it works but needs to be looked at due to either a short in it or something minor. It comes on for a little bit but then shuts back off. Its a pioneer radio. The truck has no key the ignition striped out and the key just spun so the ignition switch was just pulled out and is started by a screwdriver. This happened when my step son had it. I will try to get a picture of it and post it. You can either come and pick the truck up or arrage for transport company to come and get it. I'm selling it due to having 2 other veichles and really don't have the money to fix the things I mention on it. If you have any questions message me and I will answer back as quick as I can. I'm on here at least 10 times a day since I'm disabled. Good luck and happy bidding

Ford will probably never offer two RS models at the same time
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Autocar has some sour news for fans of go-fast Ford products. According to Roelant de Waard, Ford's president of marketing in Europe, the automaker will probably never offer more than one RS performance model for sale at the same time. That statement runs contrary earlier rumblings that suggested Ford would launch its next-generation Focus RS in 2015 and follow the hatch with a spate of other vehicles with an RS badge. But de Waard has made it clear that Ford of Europe is now focused on squarely on the next Mustang, even though there may be more RS models on the way eventually.
"What is clear is that the RS shouldn't be a series, or a car badge that we have in our portfolio all the time. It is an extreme car - something more than ST," he said.
That philosophy makes plenty of sense. We loved the old Focus RS - shown above in RS500 trim - because it was generally bonkers and plenty exclusive. Diluting either aspect is sure to end in disappointment for everyone involved.
Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.
Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.
