I have a 1989 Ford F150 XLT Lariat. It is currently not running. It is very close to being back together. I have not driven this truck since around 2002. It has primarily been stored indoors. The Engine has been stored in a garage since then. I had many plans for this truck but I was involved in accident and can no longer work on this truck or even drive it since I am in a wheelchair. It has a 3 inch body lift and at one time had a 4 inch suspension lift. It does not currently have that and I do not have the lift. It has a 5 speed transmission with 3.55 gears. 302 ci engine that has been bored 30 over. It has a slight Comp Cam. Head are stock but shaved down. It has full length headers. It has a new rotor and brakes inthe front. The rear brakes are in good shape they are drum. The body is in amazing shape. The bed is rust free and has been repainted in 2001. The front end has a new drivers door and front fenders. The cab corners and passenger door are original and have some rust. The tailgate is not the best in the world. The inside is in fair condition. There is some wear on the seats. The carpet is in decent shape. The truck has air conditioning but needs work. The air pump is junk and can be deleted. Basically needs vacuum and wiring finished up. The shifters need to be lengthened for body lift. I do not think it needs a whole lot to be up and running. This truck is in really good shape and would not need a whole lot to make a nice ride. I think this is a fair price for what this is. It has a nice body and a lot of potential. This body style is quickly becoming a classic. Please feel free to ask questions.

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene
Tue, 13 May 2014Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.
NHTSA will investigate some Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ models for power steering issue
Tue, 07 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ, the 2012 MKZ Hybrid and 2011 Mercury Milan because the agency has hundreds of complaints of electric power steering failure in these models.
According to NHTSA's data, it has received 508 complaints of the power steering allegedly suddenly malfunctioning and resulting in increased effort to turn the wheel. In four incidents, these failures resulted in loss of control and crashes. According to the reports, in some cases a power steering warning message came on as the fault occurred, and other times the system restored itself by turning off and then restarting the vehicle. NHTSA said it has also received further field report data from Ford, but that information hasn't been publicly released yet.
For the moment, there isn't a recall for this failure on these models. NHTSA is just investigating them to "assess the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the alleged defect," and the agency says an estimated 938,000 vehicles could potentially be affected.
Ford bondage ads reportedly trigger firings at Indian ad agency
Wed, 27 Mar 2013You will probably remember the ads for the Ford Figo hatchback in India, the ones that showcased the extra large boot of the little hatchback by joking that you can fit three of your enemies in the trunk. One of the ads had Michael Schumacher in the front seat, obviously pleased about having Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the back. But the other two had Paris Hilton and ex-Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi up front and three bound and gagged women in the back - in Hilton's case (shown above), it was the Kardashians.
This did not go over well, and Reuters reports that certain employees at JWT India have been fired over the matter. It is also reported that the images weren't actual advertisements, nor were they part of an actual campaign; JWT said they "were never intended for paid publication, were never requested by our Ford client." A JWT rep said the employees who created the ads did so on their own, Ford commented to Automotive News that the ads were "part of a creative exercise intended to test concepts for an advertising competition."
The problem, if the story is to be believed, is that the employees skipped the regular review protocols and uploaded their work to an ad industry site - they were found on Ads of the World. That page, like the employees, has been removed.
