1980 ford stepside pickup. has a nice steel roll pan and heavy duty hitch, 302 motor with about 4500 miles since complete rebuild. Previous owner was restoring and only drove it to work 10 miles round trip every day. I do not have a tailgate. Primer has since faded away in areas, truck is very solid, the only attention needed is in the cab corners, no dents or anything anywhere. Has cd player, interior was kept clean. Few cracks on the dash. Power steering, Has Manual Brakes, real easy to get used to. 15" aluminum wheels. rears are wider. Front end has been kept up, tires wearing perfectly even. All lights, turn signals, dash lights, taillights etc. work. Has single exhaust with a glasspack that ends about 3/4 back under the truck. Super sound suspension. This truck doesnt rattle and shake its Solid! Engine is real strong with an RV cam and Holley 4 barrel, No leaks !! No Smoke! Trans shifts Perfectly, and has a shift kit. 3 speed automatic with B&M floor shifter. Mechanically sound! This will haul or tow anything with ease. 2" receiver. Brakes work great! Has nice aftermarket oil pressure and Temp gauges. Doors are super solid, and shut tight. Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?

Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell revisit bitter F1 rivalry in... Ford Fusion campaign?
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Formula One World Champions Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell haven't been on good terms since the 1986 season, when Piquet joined Mansell at the Williams team and Piquet spent the year privately fuming about not being granted the status of number one driver. Things only got worse from there - even though Piquet won the title the following year with Williams, still partnered with Mansell, the fuming was a lot less private.
They're back together after a 25-year silence, in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil to drive the new Ford Fusion. Called "Fusion Grand Prix," both men get the new Ford sedan, prepped to their liking - but still street legal, we assume - for a race to decide... well, who is faster behind the wheel of a Fusion.
There will be four episodes, with the first two having already aired. The third episode comes on January 29 and the race happens February 5. You'll find two video episodes and a press release below, but note - because it's a campaign for Ford Brazil, Piquet's dialogue in the vids isn't translated, so hit the Closed Captioning button to hear his side of the smack talking.
Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.
