Here for auction is a 2002 Supercharged F-150 Harley Davidson pick up. The truck is in great condition with low miles for its year. The truck runs and drives excelent, the motor is very smooth and powerful, the transmission shifts very firm and drives straight as an arrow. The interior is in like new condtion, there is no real wear to be found, other then some slight surface wear to the drivers seat, as pictured. The exterior is in great condtion, there are some very minor stone chips here and there as to be expected on a used vehicle. There is one damaged area on the right rear of the box, it is a half dollar size gel coat crack in the fiberglass box, it has been touched up with paint and is pictured. I am not an auto detailer type of person, I keep it clean, but it could use a professional detailing. The truck is nearly 100% stock, un-molested condtion, with the exception of a Fram cold air intake. Tires and brakes are well over 60%, Wheels are in excelent condtion. There is some very slight curbing to the very outer lip, you have to get down and look right at it to see.

Now the truck was in a front end accident. It basicly looked like the truck pulled out into an intersection and got hit from right to left across the front, shifting the nose to the left. It was not smashed from front to rear. I repaired the accident damage which consisted of the front bumper, fenders, hood, headlights, grille and radiator support. The front of the frame rails, where the bumper mounts was also changed. All parts, with the exception of the headlights, were changed using OEM Ford parts. No airbags were deployed. I have been in the auto body business for over 18 years. I built this truck for my own personal use, but the purchase of a newer boat forces its sale. I did drive this truck for the last month and a half putting over a 1,000 miles on it. The miles on certificate are listed as exempt, vehicles over 10 years old are exempt from odometer disclosure. The auction is not required to notate the miles, so they don't, just there way of being lazy. There is no reason to beleive the miles on the truck aren't accurate, the overall condtion speaks for it self, along with its vehice history report.

I could not locate a Harley front bumper. I did locate a Ford Lightning front bumper and went with that, which I beleive looks better anyway!

The title is still a PA. Certificate of Salvage. I drove it with a friends auto dealer plate and have not got around to having it titled. Here in Pa. it will take 1 day to get titled and registered. You will take for an enhanced inspection, take paper work to an online tag service and done. Other states are a simular process, but it is up to you check with your home state. Even if I did the title here in Pa. other states would still force you to do your home states title inspection process. I could do the title process myself and sell with a reconstructed title but, I will have to pay the sales tax, inspection fee, and notary fee's, which could cost upwards of $500.00 and then have to pass these fee's along with a higher price. So to keep the cost down it will be sold in salvage, If you do not wish to deal with salvage reconstruction process, do us both a favor, don't bid.

Interested bidders are welcomed to come inspect and test drive the truck, there will be no Joy rides, serious buyers only.

Truck is being sold AS-IS, No Warantee with a Pa. certificate of salvage. Buyer must pay in cash or wire transfer. Buyer responsable for pick up or shipping of vehicle.

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.

Ford books $1.2B profit in second quarter on strength of trucks

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Ford is rolling along nicely, with a positive second-quarter sales report and a $2.3 billion profit in North America. The Dearborn, Michigan-based manufacturer captured $1.2 billion globally from April to June, with a $177 million profit in Asia. Even in Europe, the land of doom and gloom for automakers not named Mazda, Ford saw some success as it lowered its expected full-year loss from $2 billion to $1.8 billion. The company lost $348 million in Europe during the second quarter, which, believe it or not, represents a $56-million improvement over 2012.
According to the report on CNBC, Ford enjoyed a three-percent increase in pre-market trading thanks to the news. The strong demand for the F-150 propelled growth in the US market, while Ford's 47-percent increase in Asian sales can be attributed to the new EcoSport crossover and Kuga (Ford Escape in the US) arriving in the somewhat fragile Chinese market.
Pre-tax profits for Ford are expected to be in the neighborhood of $8 billion by the end of the year, with sales the US, Europe, and China all looking up. The company also shifted $4.78 billion of asset-backed debt in the form of bonds, according to a report by Bloomberg. This move came amidst rumors of the Federal Reserve cutting back on its $85-billion-per-month bond purchases. Ford wasn't alone among automakers looking to sell off debt, though, as Mercedes-Benz and Nissan shifted around $1 billion each in bonds relating to auto loans.

Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief

Thu, 29 May 2014

The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.
