1964 FORD F100! A BEAUTIFUL PRO-TOURING/RESTO-ROD THAT WAS BUILT FOR COMFORT! YOU CAN HAVE ALL OF THE MODERN AMENITIES IN A BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE PICKUP! ICE COLD AC, POWER STEERING, FOUR WHEEL DISC BRAKES, MODERN FRONT SUSPENSION, & MUCH MORE! This F100 is by far one of the most beautiful F100's I have ever seen. Not only is it absolutely stunning in person, it also sets itself far apart in the comfort department. I have never driven an older vintage truck that handles like this one. I could see driving it on a daily basis if it wasn't so nice. Body: This F100 was taken off of its frame and completely redone by professionals. The craftsmanship can be witnessed through out every single nook and cranny of this Pickup. The frame was boxed and the front end of a Crown Victoria was implemented. Which gives the F100 surreal handling. The body and frame, both have no rust. The body of the F100 is of excellent quality. Every panels lines up exceptionally well. The paint & body work are phenomenal. There is no trash, spider webbing, or orange peel bleeding through. The F100 sits on a set of custom wheels which give it that perfect stance. All of the chrome and trim are in excellent quality. There is no major pitting, scratches, or dents. Engine & Mechanical: The 352 Windsor in this Ford was completely rebuilt and is in excellent mechanical condition. It does not leak, smoke, or burn an excess amount of fluid. It starts up every time with no hesitation. The C6 transmission also has no mechanical issues. It shifts through its gears with easy. The four wheel disc brake setup was brand new when installed and it works perfectly. The Truck does not pull or shake when stopping. The power steering setup is also in excellent working order. All of the electrical components through out the F100 are also in excellent working order. Everything works! The AC is ice cold! The Dakota gauges give the F100 a very clean and modern look. They too work very well. Interior: The interior as you will see, has some modern upgrades. The buckets are custom and are of high quality leather. When the pickup was restored, everything was redone. From the carpet to the roof, everything is in excellent condition. Well over 60k was invested in to this F100 and I can tell you with certainty that you couldn't begin to recreate it for what we are asking. I can assure anyone who is interested that you wont be disappointed when you're behind the wheel and you're cruising it down the road. This F100 has quite a bit of power and it drives like a newer modern pickup. So you can have all of the bells and whistles with out the constant maintenance and up keep. Don't miss out because I can assure you that you will not find another F100 of this magnitude. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the F100 early as we do have it for sale "locally". I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need. So I try to always stay on top of emails and phone calls. We do have a clear title for this F100. As always, good luck and happy bidding! Thanks, Shawn (816) 308-0351 Need financing? Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.
Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
The 1965 Ford Mustang could have looked a lot different
Fri, May 8 2020The 1965 Ford Mustang is unquestionably an automotive design icon, and nearly every generation of Mustang has some connection to that original car. Because it's such a universally-known vehicle, we were amazed to see all the different designs that were being considered. Head of Ford's archives Ted Ryan recently shared photos of design proposals for the original Mustang on Twitter that he and Jamie Myler found, and we reached out to them to find out more. As Ryan initially noted, the photos were taken on August 19, 1962, and they are proposals for the Ford Mustang. Apparently Ford had committed to doing a Falcon-based youth-oriented car at this point, and it did have plans to launch the car in 1964 for the 1965 model year. But after having little success with early design proposals, the company asked all of its design studios — the Advanced Studio, Lincoln-Mercury Studio and Ford Studio — to submit proposals. With only about two years before the planned launch, Ford was understandably short on time, and it's believed that the studios only had a month to create and present these designs. Lincoln-Mercury design proposal View 8 Photos The majority of the designs, a total of five, came from the Advanced Studio, and part of this was because they already had a couple of concept designs in reserve it could present. Two other models representing three design possibilities came from Lincoln-Mercury, and just one model with two options came from Ford. The Advanced Studio proposals are shown in the gallery at the very top of this article, and the Lincoln-Mercury and Ford proposals are in the gallery directly above this paragraph. The Advanced Studio's most radical design is the one that was clearly related to the Mustang I concept that would be shown later that year with huge wraparound rear glass, turbine-inspired bumpers and enormous side scoops. The other proposals from the studio were more conservative, featuring simple lines, grilles reminiscent of the Falcon, and one even borrowing the jet-thruster-style taillights made famous on the Thunderbird. Lincoln-Mercury had some impressively bold designs, particularly its fastback that had buttresses to extend the shape all the way to the tail. This car had two different side trim possibilities. The other Lincoln-Mercury design was toned down a bit, but had two interesting possibilities for side detailing, as well as some crisp, low-profile tail fins.
