Started frame off restoration and custom build in 1993. Finished complete in 1996. This truck won best of class in the super F-100 nationals in Palm Springs on the carpet of the convention center the year it was completed around 1996. No expense spared on original build. Racing head service crate motor (small block chevy) with DART sportsman heads/screw in studs/guide plates/roller rockers/ Mallory billet pro distributor / competition cams 280 magnum camshaft. billet aluminum pulley set with double grove to add a/c compressor/power steering if desired. TRW forged pistons 10.5 to1 compression (runs perfect on 91 octane). Currie 9" rear with J&S 3:73 posi gear. Turbo 350 chevy auto trans/2400-2600 B&M stall converter / built tough. Engine has approximately 5-10,000 thousand miles as it was rarely driven to car shows and on rare occasions. Previously registered as Historical vehicle since 1993 till recently which limited the driving to and from events only. I have the historical plates and a full photo album of the start to finish restoration. Truck is in remarkable condition considering the time since i restored it. It has only 1 very small dent in bottom corner of grill under headlight, It has 2 small areas were the paint chipped on the hood and 1 chip on the drivers side on bed. Tailgate was customized after restoration from a different shop and paint did not adhere properly and needs to be repainted. paint on truck is epoxy/clear and feels like glass. It was originally color sanded and buffed at a cost of $6500 for paint work alone.Truck will benefit from a spray on bed liner. Bed originally sprayed as zolatone and is flaking. I have over $50,000 invested and intended on re-restoration but now need to sale do to financial hardship. I plan to repaint the tailgate and replace the carpet (faded) ( seat and headliner looks as new ) ($450 padded dash has no cracks) and fix the remaining minor issues ( needs new turn signal cam gear installed in steering column to fix blinkers ) that it has if i am unsuccessful selling it as is now ( the price i will ask if i complete the work will have to increase closer to its true value. This needs to be a quick sale. Truck just received clay bar/wax/polished wheels( Centerline Convo-pros ) and oil/trans fluid/coolant changed. brand new Optima BLUE TOP BATTERY. Tires installed new in 2008 and have no wear at all on tread. original tires had no wear but were replaced in 2008 due to the age of the tire. Engine compartment needs to be detailed and will shine/much chrome and aluminum. Added power disc brakes a few months ago at a cost of $3100 and planned on keeping truck and re-restoring. Out of work now and decided to sell quick as is. I will miss this truck for sure. Thanks for your interest.

Ford Mustang GT350 seen and heard in motion for the first time
Fri, 27 Sep 2013We just recently saw our first spy shots of the next-gen hi-po Ford Mustang slated to replace the Shelby GT500, but now we're getting our first look - and listen - of prototypes captured on video. Mustang6g.com has the video (along with some different spy shots), which show that, if nothing else, SVT knows how to tune an exhaust system. The :50 mark is a good example of this, but fast-forward to around 2:00 where the driver revs the engine and really gets on the throttle hard taking off from a stop.
There's still no definitive evidence that the next-gen SVT Mustang - said to be called GT350 - will be naturally aspirated, but it sounds just as menacing as the current Shelby GT500. While the video posted below exhibits the sort of quality that is to be expected from someone driving while trying to film someone who is attempting to elude being filmed, it's still exciting to see and hear this new Mustang in motion.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
Watch Ford build a Mustang atop Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building
Sun, Nov 23 2014In 1965, a Ford Mustang Convertible proudly went on display at the top of the Empire State Building, the world's tallest building at the time. Earlier this year, the Blue Oval recreated the stunt by bringing the latest droptop 'Stang to the sky-high structure. Unfortunately, while still iconic, the New York skyscraper has lost the world title. Of course, an automaker can't let something like that get in the way of a good publicity stunt. For the inauguration of the Ford business unit in the Middle East and Africa, the brand gave the 2015 Mustang Convertible an even bigger building to climb – the biggest in fact. The droptop made its way to the 112th floor of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. To put a final topper on the whole event, executive chairman Bill Ford was the one to place the car's famous badge, making it complete. Like with the Empire State Building spectacle, getting the Mustang to the top wasn't as simple as just driving it off the elevator. Check out the video above to see how it was done, and scroll down to read Ford's press release about the event. NEW MUSTANG UNVEILED ON WORLD'S TALLEST BUILDING, BURJ KHALIFA Bill Ford helps inaugurate Ford's latest business unit, Middle East and Africa, an exciting, vibrant region that represents the final frontier for growth in the auto industry Ford pledged to launch 25 vehicles in region by 2016, including the all-new Mustang debuting next year Industry sales in Middle East & Africa are expected to grow 40 per cent to 5.5 million vehicles by 2020 Dubai, U.A.E., Nov. 20, 2014 – Ford Motor Company underscored its growing ambitions in the Middle East and Africa, with the dramatic introduction of the all-new Mustang on Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford capped the live-action event by delivering the iconic pony badge to the 2015 yellow Mustang on the 112th floor of the skyscraper. The event was viewed live around the world on YouTube as well as by approximately 10,000 fans gathered in the Dubai Downtown area, overlooking the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa.
