Up for Sale with NO RESERVE is a beautiful 1964 Ford F100
It does hold a SALVAGE TITLE from an accident with a horse the got out of its pen. The glass was replaced, as well as some body work on the hood.
This truck looks like the 1966 F100 with the aluminum grille. I have the original 1964 grille, painted the same color as the truck if you want it. I also have the original bench seat if you want that also.
This truck is a fun truck to drive, and it had been a daily driver recently. It always gets compliments, and I have enjoyed working on it. I am sad to see her go! She's almost ready for some car shows.
The Engine is a 1979 Firebird trans am 400 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel 750 carb. This truck is all 1979 Trans Am running gear.
The Engine runs well, with New spark plugs, new Cap and rotor, BIG radiator, 160 degree thermostat.
I am including a Cloyes Double-Roller Timing Set in the deal, as I wanted to do that next.
It has the front clip off the 1979 Trans Am welded on, and boxed. So you're getting power steering, power disc brakes, sway bars in front and back, and the perfectly shifting 3 speed automatic, mated to the 10 bolt rear end. The frame is C-notched in back and boxed there too.
I have installed new wheel bearings up front as well.
Bolt Pattern on the truck is 5x4.75 (GM Bolt Pattern)
The paint is a 7 out of 10, a nice 20 footer. There's work to be done on the interior still.
There's No carpet, or headliner. You finish to your liking :)
The heater works well, and has 2 Fan Speeds, the Gas gauge works, the only gauge that doesn't work is the amp meter. Believe me it's charging though.
The Battery in the Truck is an Autozone Duralast Gold, but it may be getting weak, as it's hard to fire up sometimes (Slow Cranking power)
The Seats are comfortable, but were temporary until I could find a better condition setup. There's some wear in the driver side bolster.
The Stereo is a nice Pioneer (Hidden in the Glovebox) matched up with Component speakers in molded, and painted kick panels, as well as 6x9's in the doors. There's an amplifier under the passenger seat with a built in Subwoofer, and it has bass controller and capacitor installed so this stereo sounds nice!
The truck drives pretty straight and comfortable for having such low suspension.
The Exhaust has side exiting tips on both sides, but the exhaust leaks in a few places, so it doesn't sound perfect. I would just replace the entire system myself, if I were keeping it.
The Headlights are slim H4 Headlights with HID Ballasts and bulbs that burn at 6000K. They're very modern looking and assist with night driving.
Currently, 4-7-13, the truck has expired registration, but I am going to pay the registration fees before the truck goes. It expired 3-1-13, so it's only a month late.
I am an honest person, who tried my best to disclose any and all information and problems about this Classic Truck.

FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
Lincoln recycling tree fibers into new MKX armrest
Thu, Feb 27 2014Want to hug a tree, or at least a really small part of one. Then set your arm down on one of those armrests in the 2014 Lincoln MKX crossover. The US automaker is working with Weyerhaeuser and Johnson Controls on a tree-based, cellulose-reinforced polypropylene material used in the component that connects the armrest to the floor console, Wards Auto says. With properties similar to plastic, the tree-based material replaces fiberglass and is about six percent lighter. No big deal for now, but if the material starts getting used for things like battery trays and interior storage covers, that loss in weight may eventually start adding up enough to boost fuel economy a bit, providing a green double bonus. Lincoln parent Ford, which isn't saying how much more (or less?) it costs to use the new material, established its Biomaterials and Plastics Research team in 2001. In 2007, the company began using soy-based foam in car seats used for models such as the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Mustang and has since broadened biomaterials use to components like floormats and cupholder inserts. Ford also used recycled plastic bottles from the 2012 North America International Auto Show for seats in the Focus Electric.
Shelby GT500 and Roush Stage 3 go head to head at the drag strip
Wed, 07 Aug 2013The Ford Mustang is a brilliantly affordable source of horsepower, with a base 300-plus-horsepower version available for well under $30,000. Jumping up to about $35,000 will get you a solid 420 horsepower from a high-revving V8, while those with some extra disposable income can get a pair of 600-plus-horsepower monsters. Both the Roush Stage 3 with its Phase 3 package and Ford's factory Shelby GT500 even crest the 650-horsepower mark, with 675 and 662 ponies, respectively.
Naturally, someone needed to find out which of these hi-po Mustangs was the quickest. And while this video is quite obviously a dealership commercial, at least there's some solid drag racing between two of the most powerful performance machines available for under $100,000.
With two NHRA drag racers at the wheel, the Stage 3 and GT500 go head to head for three races. Scroll down below to see the results in the full video.
