This is a custom F100 from top to bottom, front to back. It's been done for a few years. It runs and drives very well for a truck of this age. I have a stack of pictures a couple inches tall of the truck's build. It comes with a briefcase full of receipts totaling about $70,000.00 and also comes with a partial  quart of the original PPG paint the truck was painted with.

ENGINE:  is a 1968 460 big block V-8 out of a Lincoln. It was rebuild with an edel brock cam, intake, and carburetor. It also has roller rockers. Exhaust manifolds are stock.

Transmission:  is a Ford C6, rebuilt with a shift kit.

Frame:  is the original, but has been modified

Suspension: The front is a subbed in VOLARIE IFS torsion bar. The rear is stock leaf spring, lowered with a chrysler 8-3/4 axle. (gears are 3.50-3.73 I'm not a 100% sure which?) The truck also has power steering.

Tires and Wheels: Tires are BFG's 215/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear. Center Line wheels, 15x8 front and 15x10 rear.

Interior: Custom head liner, door panels, and carpet. Seats are out of 2000 ford F250. DAKOTA DIGITAL dash and Remote door poppers. Power windows, Power Cowl Vent and cruise. Vintage heat and air. (the truck is set up for A/C, I believe I has almost all the parts, but are not all installed and DO come with the truck.) Windows are tinted. Custom center console. Pioneer stereo with 6 disc cd changer. Billet rear view mirror. Colorado customs billet steering wheel.

Paint and Body Work: Paint and body work are very nice and were professionally done. Exterior paint is PPG dark amethyst base coat clear coat with hand, pin striped old school flames. The frame, axle, and suspension have all been painted with automotive paint and are a medium gray. The truck has a forward tilt hod kit with prop. rod, that makes opening and closing the hood easy compared to the stock springs and hinges.

Everyone wants to know if there is anything wrong with the truck or if there are any defects or things that need attention. So, here is everything I can think of. 1) The truck has been driven, and has had a few tiny rock chips that don't show up in pictures......most have been touched up. 2) the 1/4 windows are original glass and have bubbles between the panes, the passenger side is the worst of the two. 3) as I mentioned above, the truck has most everything for A/C, but is not hooked up. 4) the power steering has a drip when the truck is running( I think it's just a hose clamp on the return line I'm going to try and get to before the auction is over) 5) the valve covers have been painted to match the truck and some paint has flaked off the passenger side valve cover.

I have described this truck to the best of my ability. I'm human and make mistakes, and I'm sure there are things I fore got. So please ask all questions before bidding.

You can call me on my cell phone @ (651) 775-7887 or message me threw eBay. Friday I will be unavailable by phone from 9a.m. til 5p.m. central time. I'm very busy, so if I don't answer, please leave me a message and I will call you back a.s.a.p.

THANKS!............. Matt

Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.

How the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor became a reality

Wed, 01 May 2013

The camouflaged Ford F-150 SVT Raptor prototype captured above blazing its way across the desert during a test run left company engineers giggling in amazement, reveals Jamal Hameedi in a new Autoweek video. Ford's global performance vehicle chief engineer, accompanied by senior exterior designer Bruce Williams, sat down with the publication to discuss the concept and development of the automaker's super off-road F-150.
Designing a high-performance pickup in 2008, right when the cost of gasoline was going through the roof, seemed insane at the time, but the team pushed forward with the innovative vehicle regardless. The interview includes plenty of Ford B-roll footage as visual candy, and the conversations include discussions about exterior design, ride comfort, anti-lock brake tuning, suspension engineering, weight reduction and why it was necessary to make the Raptor visually different than Ford's standard F-150. The model's origin story is very interesting, and you can learn more about it by watching the video below.

Watch Piquet and Mansell bend some sheetmetal in Ford Fusion GP

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

As we told you about before, there were four episodes planned for the Ford Fusion GP campaign in Brazil, and the whole series has now run its course. The Ford ads pit Brazilian Formula One driver Nelson Piquet against English F1 pilot Nigel Mansell driving the new Fusion, the two coming together again after their partnership at the Williams F1 team ended in a miserable state more than 20 years ago.
They're lined up for you below, in reverse chronological order. You should watch number three first, though, as it adds a bit more spice to the NASCAR action in the fourth.
