UP FOR AUCTION IS A ALL STOCK 1980 FORD F-100 PICKUP. THIS IS A GREAT PARTS TRUCK OR WINTER PROJECT, NOT A TRUCK YOU WILL PUT LICENSE PLATES ON AND DRIVE ACROSS COUNTRY. FOR ITS AGE IT IS PRETTY STRAIGHT SOLID COMPLETE TRUCK. IT STARTS RUNS SHIFTS THROUGH ALL THE GEARS SMOOTHLY AND STEERS GOOD. I PUT A NEW CLUTCH IN IT, SO I COULD MOVE IT AROUND. MOTOR IS TIRED AND BRAKES ARE WEAK. THERE IS NO GAS TANK, I RUN IT OFF A SMALL GAS CAN UNDER THE HOOD. THE LIGHTS WORK, GLASS IS ALL THERE, DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE, WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN. BODY IS PRETTY GOOD. THERE IS SOME RUST AT BOTTOM OF TAILGATE AND YOU CAN SEE WHERE AT SOME POINT SOMEBODY PATCHED OVER REAR WHEEL WELLS AND CAB CORNERS. BUT THEY WERE NOT TOTALLY SHOT OUT. BED AND CAB FLOORS ARE GOOD. TWO SMALL DENTS IN PASSENGER DOOR. THE DOOR BOTTOMS ARE PRETTY GOOD. PROBABLY A FEW OTHER DINGS, BUT THE TRUCK IS NOT ALL DENTED AND SMASHED UP. WOULD NOT NEED EXTENSIVE BODY WORK. CLEAN NJ TITLE. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME 201-788-4008, EMAIL OR COME LOOK. SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BUYER. MAY BE ABLE TO HELP WITH DELIVERY IF NEARBY. THANKS FOR LOOKING |

Ford, Renault have surprises in store for Le Mans
Tue, Jun 9 2015All those prototype and GT racers won't be the only attraction catching our eye at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. Two major automakers have also confirmed that they've got new metal to unveil. And while they're not saying exactly what they'll be, we've got some pretty good ideas. First up is Ford, which has announced a "major Ford Performance news announcement" on Friday. Chairman Bill Ford, CEO Mark Fields, and product development chief Raj Nair will be on hand for the announcement set to take place on Friday at 10:00 AM Eastern. The Blue Oval isn't saying just what it has in store, but the widespread speculation has been that it will present a racing version of the new Ford GT at Le Mans a good half century since the original GT40 raced there. Meanwhile, Renault has announced that it is marking the 60th anniversary of the Alpine marque at Le Mans this Saturday. The French automaker has been working on reviving the dormant marque, and looks poised to finally reveal its new sports car at its iconic home endurance race this weekend. Tipped to be called the Alpine AS1, the new sports car will bring the marque back out of retirement in a more real way than the ELMS-winning LMP2 prototype ever could. Expect it to be based on the mid-engined chassis underpinning the Renault RS 01 spec racer, but built for the road. 2015 Ford Focus
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.
Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.
