1976 Ford F100 Ranger Super Cab on 2040-cars
Canton, Michigan, United States
This is a very nice older truck. It is Black on Black with a new Black Tonneau Cover, which covers a custom Oak Floor in the bed. It has the Super Cab (Extended cab). I bought this truck in 2012 as a retirement truck. Since buying it I have had the engine rebuilt, installed a 4 barrel Holley Carb, put all new parts under the hood (radiator, alternator, battery, electric ignition system, oli and water pump, etc.) I had the suspension reworked, front end aligned, and a new gear box installed. I had Flow Master mufflers installed. It has very good, almost new, raised white letter tires mounted on factory stainless steel (not 100% sure of that, if not they are chrome) rims. Much, much more! I have receipts for everything I have bought for it. As of now, I have almost $9000 in the truck. You could buy it and drive it anywhere, even cross-country, it is that ready. The reason I am selling it is, I am spoiled and I decided to buy a new F150, and I don't need 2 trucks. It's that simple. I would like this truck to go to someone who can appreciate it and enjoy it. It always gets a thumbs-up from people who see it. To my knowledge, other than the minor paint bubbling, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this truck.

BMW V8-powered Ford Model A is the definition of Hot Rod
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Today, hotrodding has a pretty staid definition. Take one classic American car, add one classic American V8, sprinkle with tire smoke and you pretty much have every hot rod to roll out of a shop in the last 40 years. Mike Borroughs knows it wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, getting your bucket to go faster meant grabbing whatever parts were lazing about the yard, bolting them together with a bit of ingenuity and laughing your way down the quarter mile. It's in that spirit that Burroughs built his 1928 Ford Model A.
Rather than turn to the tired flathead or the common Chevrolet small block, Burroughs plucked a 4.0-liter V8 from a 1995 BMW 7 Series. With 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine has no trouble shuffling the old A around town. He had to build a custom chassis to get everything to cooperate, but the result is a 1,500-pound heathen that looks built to harass dry lake beds. You can check it out in the video below. Be warned, the soundtrack by Hanni el Khatib may not be safe for work - awesomeness of this caliber rarely is.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford
Tue, 07 Jan 2014
The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
