Here is an awesome built 1973 F100 4x4 short bed

The truck was completely rebuilt about 9 yrs ago and still shows incredibly well

This truck was given a very large suspension lift in the front end and the work was very well done, it drives exceptionally well much better than your stock ford suspension and rides and drives more like a newer truck.

The engine is a 390 and it runs very well I was told the engine was rebuilt when the truck was restored. It has a cam and headers so it has a little extra juice over stock.

The transmission is a C6 with a B&M shifter, the shifts are very smooth you can also slap the gears if you want

The interior was updated and still looks really good the seat and headliner match and are a durable broadcloth, the carpet is like new and the dash and the rest of the interior was painted to match the them of the truck and still looks good.  There is a little fading of the paint that was used on the interior door panels but they are still in great shape.

All guges work except the original water temp gauge but there is a new temp gauge that works great.  There is also aftermarket oil pressure gauges and tachometer that work well.  The other original guages work as they should.

The body on this truck is in great shape there is a small dent on the drivers door that did not even chip the paint and a few spot where the paint has begun to chip off, the paint on the truck overall i would rate a 7 which is still very good for a daily driver (which this truck is) however if you wanted a show truck ready body then a little bit of body work and paint on this one and you are on your way.

The bed-liner in the back looks like new

The wheels are like new and un-scuffed

The tires have less than 1500 miles on them!!! they are 35 x 12.50 and look great on the truck

This is an awesome example of the f100 4x4 shortbed and they are incredibly hard to find as i am sure you know, this truck is ready to be driven and is great fun to drive

The reserve on this truck is very low so bid with confidence.

Truck was recently moved from Wyoming so it has a clear Wyoming title but is currently located here in Grand Junction

Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.

Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Perhaps it's fitting that the band Pantera is known for its heavy metal music, because the DeTomaso Pantera is the automotive equivalent of a metal album. It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive. Still, once out on the road, it all makes sense with that rumbling V8 and those Italian supercar looks. Scroll down to watch and learn a lot more about this uncompromising '70s performance car.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.
