I am the third owner of this truck which has 66,500 original miles on the original engine and tranny. Original interior and metal. It came standard with ps, a/c and an automatic V8 360. I have spent a tremendous amount of time in restoring it to it's former self. Here is the list of what's new in the past 4 months. First, the truck was completely disassembled and primed and painted piece by piece. A great finish. The front drum brakes were replaced with new powered disc brakes. ALL hoses, belts, filters and fluids changed. New tires and American Racing wheels...(I have the original hubcaps) New AC compressor, clutch, drier and tensioner. Blows strong and cold. New rubber everywhere (front/rear window, doors, vent windows, felt...everything. New chrome mirrors, gas cap and door handles. All fuses and lights replaced whether they needed it or not. Original ford emblems. No leaks and all gauges work. The oak bed with the polished stainless steel strips is a thing of beauty. All new gas shocks and battery. New dash board added. New starter solenoid, plugs, wires and ignition coil. New ignition switch and gas tank receiving unit. Tow package. Original muffler removed and a flowmaster 40 series added. A nice low rumble but not loud. Lap belts upgraded to safer shoulder strap belts. I have the original owners manual and the actual build sheet. I have tons of pictures showing the complete restoration process. I'm sure I 'm forgetting some thing I have done to it. The truck runs perfect and needs nothing. Very clean and very straight. The interior is all original with the AM radio. This truck was built in Canada and shipped to Atlanta in 1972. All numbers match up to its originality. The 2 previous owner were both from Georgia. I have title in hand. The fun for me was the work itself and now it sits in my garage waiting for it's new owner. Please call me if you wish and I can answer any questions. 770-851-9735. I work from home so I can meet a vehicle inspector anytime and assist greatly with shipping needs

Couple fined for parking Ford F-150 in their own driveway
Tue, Jan 20 2015A homeowners' association in New York is suing two of its residents for parking their pickup truck in their own driveway. David and Arna Orlando of Manlius, NY, are facing a lawsuit from the Kimry Moor Homeowners Association for parking their black 2014 Ford F-150 pickup in their own driveway. The Orlandos own their home, but common areas such as their driveway are managed by their HOA, which limits what vehicles can park in the open. They only allow "private, passenger-type, pleasure automobiles" to park outside of a garage. David Orlando says his pickup is a personal passenger vehicle and that the rule is silly. He also feels he is being unfairly targeted. A Syracuse.com reporter drove around the Orlandos' neighborhood and saw another fullsize pickup parked in another driveway, along with a large van and SUV. The Orlandos said in court documents that the pickup is registered as a private vehicle and neither of them have commercial drivers' licenses. The lawsuit was filed in August 2013 and is still in the discovery phase. Depositions are up next. New York seems to have gone power-mad when it comes to regulating common driveway activities. In a Garden City, NY, neighborhood last year police were called when two men began washing a new Volkswagen "in public view", which was against a local ordinance. Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.
VW going turbo-only in 3 to 4 years
Wed, 18 Sep 2013This really was a matter of when, rather than if. Volkswagen will apparently be the first manufacturer to phase out naturally aspirated engines in favor of turbocharging its full slate. VW is kind of responsible for ushering in this push towards small-displacement, turbocharged engines that's taken the industry by storm. When it dropped its direct-injection, 2.0-liter turbo in the 2005 GTI it demonstrated that strapping an iron long to an engine can enhance the powertrain as a whole. VW made fuel economy gains, while also giving a linear, non-laggy turbo experience that it has replicated, model-after-model, to this day.
Speaking with The Detroit News, Volkswagen's executive Vice President of Group Quality, Marc Trahan, told the paper that, "We only have one normally aspirated gas engine, and when we go to the next generation vehicle that it's in, it will be replaced. So three, four years maximum."
Really, it's hard to get teary-eyed about either of these engines going away. VW has access to smaller powerplants that could easily match the performance of the 2.5 five-cylinder and the 3.6 V6, while gobbling up less fuel and providing a better driving experience. What we are sad about is that a similar statement about the extinction of NA engines came from the Vice President of Powertrain Engineering at Ford, Joe Bakaj. We'd certainly get teary-eyed over a world without Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8.
