Selling my 1971 Ford F100. It's a "Sport Custom" with the "Heavy Duty Special" tags on the side. This truck appears to be all original. Barn find. I want to restore this truck but I've got to thin my collection right, now. If the reserve isn't met then I may hang on to it. Truck has, what appears to be, it's original 360. The motor is unfortunately stuck. We've set some diesel in it to try to unstick it but it's stuck in one cylinder. Truck came with power steering and air conditioning. If you've got another 360, 390 or bigger FE motor to drop in, you could have a running truck for not a lot of cash.

The interesting thing about this truck is it does NOT have the behind-the-seat fuel tank. Never had one. It does have a tank on the driver's bed side. Oddly enough, it has another fuel tank on the driver's side bed wheel well, as WELL as the passenger side bed wheel well. Yes, 3 fuel tanks. See the pictures for yourself. Has no rust in the doors and I don't think it has any on the cab corners or the hood. It does have a couple of spots in the bed in the corners. Thankfully, they make these replacement panels. Or you could patch it yourself.

This is a great project truck that wouldn't take much at all to get it back on the road. See the pictures for yourself. Love the aqua color with the white door panels. Not sure if the bench seat is original. May be the only thing not original on the truck. Can't recall if it's an XL or XLT.

Buyer to pay $100 deposit upon winning. Balance due at pickup or message me for details. Cashier's check, cash or paypal. 5 Day Listing! LOW RESERVE!

Sold AS-IS. Winning bidder to pick up truck with a trailer. Bill Of Sale only. No title. Check out my other listings.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!

Ford posts decade-best $2.1B profit in Q1 2013

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

As predicted, Ford has reported that its first quarter of 2013 was a resounding success overall, with a pretax profit of $2.1 billion ($0.41 per share), and a net income of $1.6 billion ($0.40 per share). In fact, Ford made a pretax profit of some $2.4 billion in its home North American market, with that total number being pulled down by losses in South America and Europe. That gaudy North American profit is the strongest result by the automaker since 2000.
Ford's companywide profit for Q1 was down $147 million from one year ago, while the net income number marked an increase of $215 million year over year. Overall, this is Ford's 15th-consecutive profitable quarter.
The bad news from the European market was even worst in Q1 2013 than it was last year. Pretax losses of $462 million - on revenue of $6.7 billion - represented a year-over-year change of -$313 million. In South American, the company reported a loss of $218 million, down from a slim profit of $54 million in Q1 2012. The news was better for Ford Asia Pacific Africa, where a $6 million pretax profit in 2013 showed a year-over-year gain of some $101 million when compared to losses in 2012. Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.

NHTSA opens investigation into Ford Explorer PI brakes

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

This year more than most, it's pleasant when we can string together a few days without word of an automaker or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcing a bunch of new recalls. It's seemingly been a little quiet on this front lately (barring a spider-related Suzuki issue revealed early today), but now we have word of the government safety agency opening a Preliminary Evaluation into the 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, a probe that could potentially affect an estimated 20,000 vehicles.
The issue being investigated concerns failures of the front brake hose on the vehicle that show "small splits in the hoses near the body side ferrule of the hose assembly," according to the agency, and the issue could result in longer stopping distances. The feds have reports of 13 malfunctions affecting 11 Explorer units. However, it's important to note that all of the incidents come from a single, unnamed metropolitan police fleet that operates 46 of them. According to The Detroit News, the failures generally took place between December and July.
NHTSA is investigating further to find if this is a more widespread issue than just this one fleet. Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker confirmed to us, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the agency's report.
