1967 Ford F100 Shop Truck, Hot Rod on 2040-cars
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States
This is a really cool unmodified f100 short bed. It is the first year of this body style. Inline six cylinder with three on the tree. The previous owner had told me he had just rebuilt the engine before he put it in storage and judging by how good it runs I would have to tend to agree. It doesn't have the original carburetor but everything else is original under the hood. The paint was just recently redone in this really cool metallic blue that looks kinda grey at different angles. it is not perfect as it has little scratches and bumps, but you cant see until you get closer to inspect. The only rust spot we found was under the hood by the driver side hood hinge. it was cut out and a piece of sheet metal was welded in. Suspension has been gone thru and drives straight with no play in the steering wheel. the interior is AWESOME. It was upholstered with REAL ostrich leather and a suede mule. Even the door arm rests are ostrich. The truck was a project that I'm not currently able to finish. I still have to go thru the electrical. I haven't found the original turn signal lever that is missing. Also, the fans were working but stopped as did the dash light. The head lights and tail lights work great but i still need to line them up. If I didn't need the space and money I would definitely finish the last few things it need to be perfect. It has so much potential that would make it awesome. It is definitely not a museum show piece, but still looks amazing! How much fun would you have in this gas sipping work truck that could be used just for a stroll down main street on Sundays. Please call me with questions. I strongly urge you to come see it for yourself or send an ebay inspector. Call, Text, or Email Ivan 575-650-2078. the truck is in Las Cruces, NM and shipping is up to the buyer but i can work closely with you and the shippers. A NON refundable 500.00 deposit is due after 48 hours of the end of the auction. Car is sold as is where it is with no guarantees. Please call me and i can answer any question as truthfully and accurate as possible

Ford looks to protect logo from Toronto mayor followers
Fri, 15 Nov 2013One is a member of the Detroit Three and the maker of the Mustang, Fusion, Explorer and F-150. The other is an admitted loudmouthed, drunk-driving, crack-smoking mayor in Canada. Unfortunately for one, it shares its name with the other. Yes, Ford Motor Company is going to great lengths to keep its iconic Blue Oval logo from being appropriated by supporters of besieged Toronto mayor Rob Ford.
At a United Way event earlier this week, some of Mayor Ford's fans showed up with shirts that featured the automaker's logo with the words "Ford Nation," on them. Naturally, Mayor Ford signed them. FoMoCo was quick to issue an unhappy statement:
"Ford did not grant permission for use of its logo. We view it as an unauthorized use of our trademark and have asked it to be stopped," spokesperson Jay Cooney said. There was also a statement from Ford of Canada's Twitter account after a user alerted the company:
Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
Even Ford executives had issues with MyFord Touch
Fri, Oct 7 2016MyFord Touch is one of the auto industry's more controversial features. The media broadly panned the infotainment system developed with Microsoft for its slow responses and reliance on voice commands to navigate its deep menus. Oh, and Ford executives weren't big fans, either. Newly revealed court documents in a California class-action lawsuit demonstrate the level of venom Ford employees, both big and small, reserved for the Blue Oval's infotainment system. An error caused Bill Ford's navigation system to crash, leaving the family scion stuck on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area. The documents, unearthed by Forbes, detail current CEO Mark Fields' aggravations with MFT, too. A mechanic emailed an image of a cracked infotainment screen on an Edge to one of Ford's top Sync engineers, Kenneth Williams, suggesting "Mark Fields may have been a little aggravated with the system." But Ford and Fields' issues are nothing compared to the woes of the engineers that had to work on MFT. In a collection of emails obtained by Forbes, one engineer called the system "a polished turd," while another simply said, "These poor customers." And after one engineer suggested using a photo of Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant – home of the Edge, Flex, Lincoln MKX, and MKT production – as a background for the system, one of his coworkers said in an email that someone should instead Photoshop the image to read "abandon hope all ye who enter here," the Detroit News reports. Another summed up the problem, saying: "Ford's quality reputation is completely on the line ... another model year with the same crap is not acceptable." MyFord Touch almost single-handedly torpedoed Ford's reputation in widely reported quality metrics, including JD Power and Consumer Reports. Ford responded with a refreshed Sync3, a wildly improved rethink of its infotainment system that is far more responsive and easier to live with every day.
