1967 Ford F100 F-100 Pick Up Truck Short Bed Step Side ~ Movie Truck Rat Hot Rod on 2040-cars
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States
For Sale - 1967 Ford F-100 Short Bed Step Side Nice old truck that runs and drives good. It has a 1978 351 V8 and Automatic transmission. It also has power brakes and steering. Actual mileage is unknown, but I have not had any issues with the drivetrain. This truck is a Short Bed Step Side - Which is quite rare for this year truck! Many new parts. There is some typical rust in the lower front fenders and some bubbling in the cab corners, The floors appear to have been repaired at some point. The paint is presentable and cleans up well. Great start for a hot rod - rat rod as these trucks take well to the Crown Victoria suspension swap... Or just leave it as is and have a cool ol' truck to cruise around in. This truck was used in the filming of a movie shot in NC last year called "The World Made Straight." starring Noah Wyle and Haley Joel Osment. The truck runs and drives well, but I have not taken it on any long trips. If you are planning on driving it home I would suggest having it checked out first. 2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
