1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Short Bed on 2040-cars
Boulder City, Nevada, United States
Up for auction is my 1966 Ford F-100 short bed custom cab with a 352 V-8 and 3spd on the column with factory overdrive. The engine runs great and has plenty of power. The trans has a vibration in first gear only but once you shift to second it goes away. I will include a spare trans with the truck that shifted good and came out of another running truck. The body of the truck is very straight with no rust or rot at all as you will see in the pics. This truck came out of Northern Nevada so it is very solid! When I found the truck it was missing all the trim so I found all of it and put it on. The trim is in decent shape and will shine up nice, the bed side trim was from a long bed so I cut it down to length to fit the truck. The body is in primer now but was originally light blue. The interior is very nice and everything works including the heater!! It has a stereo that is mounted under the dash and there is one hole in the seat on the driver side. The tires on the truck are only good for around town trips and should be replaced if you plan on daily driving it. There are also spare fuel tanks on each side of truck mounted in front of the rear tires along the frame for extra fuel range with a selector under the driver seat to switch tanks. This is a very good running clean short bed that would be good daily driver as is or paint it and make it a show truck! The truck also has a clean title! This is an awesome 66 short bed so BID TO WIN!! This truck will be sold as is where is with no warranty implied. I also reserve the right to end this auction at anytime due to the truck being for sale locally. If the truck meets reserve I will let it run until the end of the auction.

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction
Wed, 19 Mar 2014We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.
Ford gives S-Max the Vignale treatment in Milan
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Ford has a bit of a history in reviving the names of old coachbuilders it has long since gobbled up and using them to distinguish its top-of-the-line models in Europe. That's what it did for years with Ghia, and after having replaced it several years ago with the Titanium trim level, now it's doing it again with Vignale.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Ford revealed the Mondeo Vignale concept in both sedan and wagon body-styles, which are set to reach production next year. But before they do, the Blue Oval automaker is at it again, applying similar upgrades to the S-Max minivan and unveiling it in concept form in Milan this week.
Setting the Vignale concept apart from any other S-Max is its Milano Grigio rose-hued silver pearlescent paint, 21-inch alloys, chrome trim and hexagonal-pattern grille. Inside it's all ultra-soft quilted leather and aluminum trim, with tablet docking stations in the back and thinner, more flexible seats than the existing production version.
Ford announces 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Ford has pulled the wraps off its anticipated 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition model, a new variant of the popular street-legal off-road specialist. In a nutshell, the "special" is all cosmetic - there are no mechanical upgrades to the truck and its 6.2-liter V8 (411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque), Torsen limited-slip differential, beadlock-capable wheels and internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers all remain untouched.
The SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds cosmetic enhancements to the existing Luxury Package, will be offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic with box-side graphics. The interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters (with black inserts), cloth honeycomb highlights and a console top finish panel.
As of now, Ford has only release a couple pictures of the Special Edition model. But check back later, as we will update the gallery when additional high-res images are released later today, and be sure to peruse the press release below for all the details.
