up for auction is a 1965 ford f100 barn find. it is a short wheel base fleetside turquoise in color both inside and out. it has the original 352 that still runs fine and the original 3 speed on the column that shifts fine. this truck is showing 68000 miles and i would think they were actual. it has a super straight body and appears to have been repainted one time but has great patina. this ford runs and drives great and stops like it should with a new overhaul and also a new fuel pump. both rockers on the truck have a small amount of rust up front but nothing major. the rest of the truck is pretty much rust free. it is a very solid very straight truck that has that perfect color and real good patina. if you have any questions call or text 2563100756 do not email please. there is a 200.00 deposit required within 12 hours of auctions end and the remainder will be due within 10 business days of auctions end. this is a no reserve auction so bid to win. there is no warranty with this truck, it is sold as is where is. there is no title with this truck. it will come with a notorized bill of sale which will be sufficient to get your title.

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.

NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
