1965 Ford F100 Custom Cab Truck.  The 1964 through 1966 are to the majority of collectors, the most desirable years offered. This is a nice original truck. This truck still has the original spare. Runs and drives well. Shifts easily through the gears. New fuel pump, carb adjustment, and newer master cylinder.  Starts easily, drives and stops like it should. The 352 V8 engine is strong.   This truck is very solid in all the right places. No rust in lower cab corners, or lower body panels, mounts, or the other usual places. There is some rust in the bed from leaving the bed mat in it and it holding moisture under it, see pictures. There is some patina/fading on the top surfaces of the truck also. There is an minor exhaust leak from the left side manifold, the right side gasket has already been replaced, and the gasket for the left is included. The undercarriage is what you would expect from a southern truck, - extremely solid with some normal surface corrosion.  In the pictures, a small piece of the stainless trim is missing on the passenger side behind the door.  I located it, after the pictures were taken, and it has been reinstalled.   Please email me any questions.  This is a nice truck with some Patina that you can enjoy and upgrade as you see fit. This is a very popular truck that appeals to most all age groups. This truck is sporting a nice set of aluminum wheels, and the tires have nearly 100% tread. The older trucks are one of the small group of collector vehicles that have increased in value over the last 6 years. Good luck bidding.

A tribute to William Clay Ford

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
Take a look below for this touching memorial video on William Clay Ford.

Mazda Turnpike in Japan shut down for racing

Mon, Dec 29 2014

The people behind Motorhead Magazine in Japan clearly have some friends in high places. Not only did they manage to shutdown eight kilometers of the Mazda Turnpike up the Hakone mountain, but they invited some of the country's premiere racers to take a drive up the hill. This wasn't just a Sunday cruise either. Featuring a BMW Z4 from the Super GT series, a classic Ford GT40, two flavors of Nissan GT-R and two takes on the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, these guys came ready to run. When an opportunity to let racecars challenge a curvy mountain road presents itself, you don't squander it. Thankfully, the folks at Motorhead knew that and outfitted the course with a plethora of cameras and high-quality sound equipment to capture the action. The result is nothing short of sublime. Take the video's urging to turn up your speakers for this one, and watch as these racers hit ludicrous speeds in a beautiful place never meant for them. Our interview with Jeremy Clarkson and James May, plus SEMA! | Autoblog Podcast #491

Fri, Nov 4 2016

This week, David Gluckman and Mike Austin talk SEMA madness, mis-aligned steering wheels, wireless charging, McLarens (they're sports cars!), and decals. We also have an excerpt from a recent interview with James May and Jeremy Clarkson of The Grand Tour and Top Gear fame. As always, we talk about a variety of cars we've been driving and then respond to some questions from listeners. And as a bonus, there's a trivia question mixed in. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. Oh, and please send trivia questions! You'll get the honor of stumping your fellow listeners, and we'll thank you too.
