Up for auction is my pride and joy... 1965 Ford F100. It has a 12v 5.9 Cummins Turbo diesel. It has very low miles from the truck that it was pulled. The whole truck only has about 2500 miles on the build. The truck is custom from front to back. It is bare metal as that is the look I was going for. This truck gets more attention then anything at any shows etc. It's loud and obnoxious. Truck has zero rust. All panels are solid. Doors have all knew felt and moldings. Truck is ready to go! It has a 727 transmission with manual valve body and single disc billet converter, Lokar shifter. It is a brand new less then 600 miles new old stock trans. It has Egt, tach, fuel pressure, water temp, oil pressure gauges. Custom metallic copper powdercoating throughout. Truck is back halved tubular chassis and body has been dropped. Custom Winters Quick change rearend, Willwood Wide 5 Hubs and drive plates, Willwood Disc Brakes, Bilstien coilovers. 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell. Fuel system is all Aeromotive, with billet street pump, fuel filter, all AN steel braided lines and fittings. Aircraft switch panel with push button start, Speedway steering column, aluminum detachable steering wheel. The 5.9 12v Cummins is a non intercooled VE pumped motor, very low miles with no blowby. It has pump work done, Denny T Billet AFC delete, 60mm Turbo with powdercoated cover, customer aluminum charge pipe that's also powdercoated, Hamilton Valve springs, 7x14 Fuel injectors, 4" custom tig welded exhaust stack. Truck runs cool even in the hot summer heat. It's a blast to drive! Has Weld Racing RTS front wheels with brand new tires. Rear has 15x10 wide 5 wheels with fresh 295 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. Pioneer CD player with aux port. Has two 6" speakers in the custom glovebox. Bamboo headliner. Layers of sound deadener. The list goes on and on....you will not find another truck like this. It has only been run at the track once for a Day of the Drags event. It ran a 13.9 being it ran out of gear. Wasn't built for the track....mostly for the street. Although it could be with a few changes. True head turner.

Ford to announce Mulally retirement, Fields CEO as early as May 1
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally may be about to announce his long-rumored retirement from the Blue Oval, according to a pair of insiders who spoke to Bloomberg. An official statement on the succession could arrive as soon as May 1. Chief Operating Officer Mark Fields is rumored to step up as the new CEO. The company is said to be readying the announcement soon to ensure an orderly transition of power, according to the insiders.
Mulally's retirement from Ford has been a hot topic for a while. He was seriously rumored last year to be leaving the automaker to take over as the CEO of Microsoft. The board even said at one point that it was okay with them if he stepped down early. However, the CEO maintained he would stay with the business through at least the end of 2014. Fields has been rumored as a frontrunner to take over the top spot at the company since he was promoted to COO.
For the moment, Ford isn't officially confirming any of these plans. "We don't comment on speculation. We do have succession plans in place for our key leadership. We take succession planning very seriously," said Susan Krusel, Ford Global News Manager, to Autoblog.
Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide
Thu, 31 Oct 2013Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.
So, who wins? We suggest you see for yourself in the press release and video below. And we're holding out hope that Tanner's challenge at the end results in another video from Ford Racing...
