For auction is a very nice f 100 stepside truck. It was a military police vehicle in the sixties and still has the us property plate on the dash. The paint is one of those 699.00 special type paint jobs and looks ok from 30 feet or so. The body is absolutely rust free saving thousands in restoration costs if you were to want to re-paint it. Tires and wheels are 99% with less than a thousand miles on them. All glass is excellent as well as the weatherstripping. Every thing works with the electrical except the left turn signal. The throwout bearing wines a little when the clutch is pushed in but clutch works excellent. It runs and drives great for a 49 year old truck. The bed wood will neeed replaced but there is a piece of plywood there so it can be used to haul stuff if needed. It is a three speed on the column and shifts very nicely. Brakes work good and steering is non power but steers very easily. It only has 50,732 original miles and was very well cared for with the exception of the top of the tailgate which is common for these old trucks as they were used to haul things. 2015 Ford Mustang specs revealed, GT to pack 435 HP
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang sounds great so far - at least on paper. Ford has just announced specs for the latest version of the iconic pony car in Dearborn, telling Autoblog that it will pump out as much as 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque from its 5.0-liter V8.
Those gaudy figures power the naturally aspirated GT model, and they easily eclipse the "more than" 420 hp and 390 lb-ft that Ford originally estimated.
The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 310 hp and 320 lb-ft, and it's the first turbo Mustang since the 1986 SVO.
NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.
Ford recalling nearly 700k Escape CUVs, C-Max hybrids over two separate safety issues
Fri, 09 May 2014Poor Escape. Ever since its launch in 2012, Ford's small CUV has been the subject of many, many, many recalls. And today, The Detroit News is reporting that Ford is adding two more recalls to the 2013-14 model year Escape's permanent record, one of them also involves the C-Max hybrid hatchback.
The first recall, covering 692,500 Escape and C-Max vehicles, is due to a software glitch that could cause the airbags - specifically, the safety canopy - to not deploy in a timely fashion during rollover crashes. According to the News, Ford says no crashes or injuries have been reported in relation to this problem.
The second recall, covering 692,700 Escapes, is related to the door handles. The News reports that the exterior door handles could open while the vehicle is in motion, and could also fail to latch properly. Once again, no crashes or injuries have occurred because of this. The National Highway Safety Traffic Administration has not issued an official notice on either recall as of this writing.
