1962 Ford F-100 Custom Cab - Rare 292 CI Y Block V8 Engine - 4 Speed Manual Transmission with Granny Low - Starts up and drives good.
The Good:
Runs and drives good, Does not overheat, engine looks great, newer battery, newer radiator, new belt, new fuel filter, all new fluids, body is straight, newer muffler and tip, new thermostat, new distributer wires, very little rust, original red paint, seat looks good, road ready right now after she warms up a little bit of course. Bed was protected by a shell for most of her life so the bed look really nice. Interior looks good for its age. Hood was replaced (not new and not perfect).
The Bad:
Has small dings and dents as seen but not bad at all. Only one large dent at the bottom of the side bed betweed the back of the cab and the wheel on the Drivers Side - see picture (not that bad though). Only cancer rust are small pin holes in the drivers side floor board and pin holes in the bottom corner of the cab on the drivers side. These items do not need to be replaced, they are solid and just need to be cleaned, patched and protected. The main instrument cluster has been taken apart for some reason. will need to be reassembled (6 screws). Because it is apart, i cannt guarantee that all the guages work properly and that all the little windows are there, but when i drove it, the speedometer was spinning. Both locks work and the doors close flush, drivers side needs to be opened from the outside. Passanger window regulator works, but the plastic roller that goes in the window track should be replaced. Windshield has cracks, but the rest of the glass looks good. Tailgate is missing a hinge. There is no stereo in this truck, and the speakers in the door will need to be replaced.
This is just a great old solid un-restored running truck that can be driven as a beater right now or restored to her former glory. Barely any rust, so you wont have any sheetmetal replacement work. Paint could be polished to shine. This truck is sold as is as all of these trucks are. Have title in hand and is registered in California through June 2013. You will get the signed title in the previous owners name. If i need to put it in my name (every state is different), add $150 to the purchase price. I will wait in the 3 hour dmv line if i have to, just dont want to pay the fees. 5K would make this truck work 15K. Numbers pencil out on this one. This si an old truck that needs a lot of work to look great so if you want a specific picture of a specific place or want to hear it run, call or email me. My name is Tom and my number is 925 321 7643.

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC
Thu, 17 Apr 2014There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
2014 Ford Cobra Jet announced with new colors, parachute mount
Fri, 22 Mar 2013Ford's drag-strip-ready Mustang Cobra Jet is back for 2014, and it's sporting a few changes to make it even better - both in competition and while sitting still. Rolling off the assembly line ready for duty in the NHRA Stock or Super Stock classes, production of the 2014 Cobra Jet is limited to just 50 units.
Racing upgrades for 2014 include the addition of a new three-speed transmission and a parachute mount, and while these will make the car better in the quarter mile, the Cobra Jet's new colors will make it look better tearing down the track. Buyers can now get their racecars painted up in Gotta Have-It Green or a custom, Cobra Jet-exclusive matte black hue. Ford and Ford Racing have already teamed up to make this an incredible factory drag racer with a full rollcage, massive Hoosier slicks, a race-tuned suspension setup and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Now, if only wheelie bars came standard...
Unlike the confusing third-party ordering system announced for the COPO Camaro, all you need to snatch up a 2014 Cobra Jet is $97,990 and good timing (as the cars will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis). Ordering opens up next month with production commencing in July. Check out the press release below.
Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.
