1958 Ford F100. This is a very good little truck with a nice color combination. As you can see, the truck is not restored......completely. The older man who owned it had several parts on the truck re-chromed, like the grill, bumpers (back bumper is nice, but front bumper is bad), he chromed the dash bezel, clutch and brake pedals, rear bumper brackets glove box, steering column, cover for the heater (needs heater hoses) and a couple other little parts. It has very nice door handles and window cranks (both inside and exterior, could be re-chromed?) The paint is not great, but has a cool driver AS-IS paint job. There is cracking in the paint, some spots of bondo that show, some paint that has came off and many other flaws........but looks cool. In the pictures you can see the small areas of rust on the truck, inside the cab at the front of the floor corner (hard to see in pictures) and under the same spot on the cross member. Both look easy to fix. The seat was done at one point and looks very nice, but as you can see in one of the pictures, the drivers side top section on the end has come loose and needs new hog rings. The headliner looks very nice. It needs door panels and carpet after the floor is fixed. The glass is all very good and the trim around the window is in good shape. The pickup bed is solid, but does show some waves in it from being used (sorry the picture is bad). Missing the 100 on the hood emblems.
The truck starts up and runs very nicely with it's original 292 Y block V-8. The 4 speed transmission shifts well in all gears. The tires are all in great shape, with good tread. The fuel pump leaks and will need fixed (If I have time, I will fix it, gasket). There is no generator on the truck anymore, it has an alternator now. All blinkers and lights work as of now. New blinker switch. It has two tanks, the stock one behind the seat and one in the back under the tail gate. You can see it the pictures and the switch for switching the tanks on drivers side by the seat.. The truck is driver quality that needs some TLC, but can be enjoyed while you fix it up or use it as a shop truck. This is a 56 year old truck and will need work often, so when bidding, please remember this. Please ask all questions before bidding. Truck is being sold AS-IS. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. NO BIDDERS WITH "0" FEEDBACK. Contact me if you would like to bid. |

This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
