This is a 1956 Ford Truck F100 Project!! that I recently picked from the second owner. This is a Very good example of a 70's truck but with Newer Suspension recently added to Front and Rear! The Body is Good Condition Very Straight!!! Has that old School Look!!! I don't come across them too often this Straight! Been sitting for many years, Roof does have a old school Sun Roof, I will include a Good Roof section u would just need center part. The Only Rust Through is Rear Cab Corners I do Have New Replacement Cab Corners that will go with Truck! There is a Piece cut from the back of the bottom rear lower bed brace, I will include a section to fix that I believe they had a roll pan on before. This truck was completely apart when I got it so I put it back together and might have a couple of bolts missing here and there. This is a Great Truck that will not take much to get on the road and drive like that or a Great Start to a High Dollar Truck!! Engine: is out of a Running 90's Chevy Truck It is Throttle body but the guy I got it from was going to switch to Carb, I have a HEI Distrubter to go with it. Motor is missing pulleys and other stuff but was Told it will run. The guy I bought it from had bought New Rings and Main and Cam bearings for the motor he was going to freshen it up but that would be buyers choice. They will be included new in boxes! The Tranny is a 700R4 Overdrive (the only way to go!!) Suspension: The Truck has the Original Straight Frame and its Clean, The Front is a Volare and it is DONE Right!! Power Steering and Disk Brakes, (NIB) New Brakes Calipers and Brakes! Brake Lines, ect! New Motor Mounts and Trans Mount. The Truck Comes with Everything Needed to Rebuild The Front End and I mean everything!!! It would be buyers choice to rebuild or drive like that. All parts will be included (please look at pics) Rear Supension: The Rear is out of a 1968 Road Runner 323 Gears and This Rear is Completely Rebuilt!!!! It was taken apart and redone RIGHT!! New Brakes, wheel cylinders, and Drums either new or turned. You will not be disappointed with it!!! (please look at pics) NEW! Master Cylinder and Brake Booster has been moved to under Cab Between Frame Rails, New in Box!!! Have new Brake lines to go with it! Wheels are Wheel Vintiques and Bolt Pattern is Ford 5 on 4 1/2" all the way around! NEW Trim Rings and New Center Caps! Tires are just rollers! Overall this is a Great Little Truck that can be on the road in no time, It Has The Right Look!!! And It Sits Right!! This is A Project Truck!!! so please keep that in mind, does have a couple of dents here and there but not much. The hood will need adjusted as will, I'm sure other things. Glass is in and ok, driver side door glass is cracked and the others ok. Has Later model Seat not Mounted just siting in cab. Steering Hooked Up and steers like it should. The wood is old and needs replace or Just Drive like that!!! This would be a Nice little Rat Rod or Shop Truck!! Or Make it a Daily Driver!! Just as it is. Paint is old and Cracked But has Nice 30 Year old Patina to it. I am trying to describe the truck the best I can. I have not have it long. Title is Clear and in My name with a Ca Non Op. Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time
Thu, Feb 26 2015If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.
