The Body is Good Condition Very Straight!!! Has that old School Look!!! I don't come across them too often this Straight! Been sitting for many years, Roof does have a old school Sun Roof, I will include a Good Roof section u would just need center part. The Only Rust Through is Rear Cab Corners I do Have New Replacement Cab Corners that will go with Truck! There is a Piece cut from the back of the bottom rear lower bed brace, I will include a section to fix that I believe they had a roll pan on before. This truck was completely apart when I got it so I put it back together and might have a couple of bolts missing here and there. This is a Great Truck that will not take much to get on the road and drive like that or a Great Start to a High Dollar Truck!! Engine: is out of a Running 90's Chevy Truck It is Throttle body but the guy I got it from was going to switch to Carb, I have a HEI Distrubter to go with it. Motor is missing pulleys and other stuff but was Told it will run. The guy I bought it from had bought New Rings and Main and Cam bearings for the motor he was going to freshen it up but that would be buyers choice. They will be included new in boxes! Wheels are Wheel Vintiques and Bolt Pattern is Ford 5 on 4 1/2" all the way around! NEW Trim Rings and New Center Caps! Tires are just rollers! Overall this is a Great Little Truck that can be on the road in no time, It Has The Right Look!!! And It Sits Right!! This is A Project Truck!!! so please keep that in mind, does have a couple of dents here and there but not much. The hood will need adjusted as will, I'm sure other things. Glass is in and ok, driver side door glass is cracked and the others ok. Has Later model Seat not Mounted just siting in cab. Steering Hooked Up and steers like it should. The wood is old and needs replace or Just Drive like that!!! This would be a Nice little Rat Rod or Shop Truck!! Or Make it a Daily Driver!! Just as it is. Monsoon rains disrupt production for Ford, BMW in India
Wed, Dec 2 2015Even modern production techniques can be stymied by Mother Nature. This was demonstrated most recently in India, as torrential, monsoon rains caused a deluge that forced multiple automakers to suspend production. Ford, Renault, and BMW all halted work at their Indian facilities around the southern city of Chennai, also known as Madras. The annual rains disrupted public transport around the city, preventing employees from making the trek into city's factories. According to Automotive News, Chennai saw 48 inches of precipitation last month alone, which is more than Seattle, WA saw in all of 2014. While Ford and BMW closed things down for all of December 1, Renault just cancelled a pair of shifts at its Chennai factory. This is the second time in the past month that automakers in southeast India have been forced to stop production due to severe flooding, and things aren't likely to improve. According to The Weather Channel, forecasts call for thunderstorms over five of the next seven days, while the chance of rain won't fall below 80 percent until December 8. Ford, Renault, and BMW are far from the only automakers that could stand to be impacted by the rains. The city has been nicknamed "The Detroit of India" for its extreme automotive presence. Daimler, Hindustan, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Nissan all own factories in the region. Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft
Tue, 07 Jan 2014In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.
Ford family keeps special voting rights
Fri, 10 May 2013Ford Motor Company has a dual-class stock structure of Class A and Class B shares. The roughly three billion Class A shares are for the general public like you and me, while the roughly 71 million Class B shares are all owned by the Ford family. Each Class A share gets the shareholder one vote, each Class B share is worth 16 votes, the result being that Common Stock holders control about 60 percent of the company while the Ford family controls 40 percent even though it holds far fewer shares. The only way that could ever change would be if the Fords sell their Class B shares, but even so, Class B shares revert to Class A when sold outside the family, so they'd have to sell a whole bunch of them.
A contingent of Class A shareholders think the dual-class system is unfair, and for the past few years a vote's been held during the annual shareholders meeting to end it. It has failed every time, as it just did again during the meeting held this week. A smidge over 33 percent voted to end the dual system, outvoted by the 67 percent who are happy with the way Ford is going - unsurprising in view of a corporate turnaround that will be part of business-class curricula for years to come.
On the sidelines, Ford elected Ellen R. Marram to the post of independent director, the first woman to hold the job. The former Tropicana CEO and 20-year Ford board member replaces retiring board member Irvine Hockaday who helped bring Alan Mulally to the CEO position.
