1956 Ford F-100 Truck

This is a original unrestored Texas vehicle until a few years ago so it's a good solid rust free truck with only some surface rust that was sanded, and primed to help protect it, I chose to leave the hood like it is. It has all it's original body panels with no patch are repair done to it. The truck still retains its factory original Meadow Mist green paint, factory seat cover, etc. It is a Custom Cab model with the extra window trim, deluxe interior, chrome grille, and badging. All the glass is good. It runs, and drives great. Complete new brake system, fuel system, shocks, tires, windshield, headliner, door panels, bumpers, taillights, and parking light lens are new. All fluids have been changed. The wood in the bed appears to be the original wood with metal over it that could be removed, its welded to the front head board, and back trim piece, but not to the sides of the bed. It Runs great, and doesn't smoke, you just hit the starter, and it fires right up. All the doors, hood, windows, lights, heater, and air vent work as they should. The rims are the original ford 15". The horn works but the horn button makes contact inside some times so it is unplugged for now. I reserve the right to end the auction early. The truck has a clear, and open Idaho title that you can use to get a title with if you live in a title state as Georgia wasn't a title state in 56 so they want give me a new title for it. Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.

Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.
