HE HAD TO PUT THE REST OF THE TRUCK TOGETHER. HE SAID THE GRILL IS A 1954 THAT DIDN'T COME WITH THE TRUCK. HE HAD BOTH TITLES TO THIS TRUCK ONE WAS A 1955 FORD TRUCK TITLE THAT WENT TO THE BODY THE OTHER WAS A 1983 TITLE THAT WENT TO THE BLAZER. TO MAKE THIS TRUCK COMPLETELY LEGAL HE COULD NOT USE THE 1955 TITLE. THE TRUCK WAS BUILT IN W.V. HE TOOK BOTH TITLES TO THE DMV THE 1983 TITLE OVER RODE THE 1955 TITLE THE TRUCK WAS INSPECTED AND WAS GIVEN A W.V. 1983 ASM (SELF ASSEMBLED) TITLE WITH THE 1955 CAB VIN NUMBER. THIS TITLE IS NOT RECONSTRUCTED. MY FRIEND BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FROM THE MAN IN W.V. AND TOOK IT TO OHIO. SO THIS TRUCK WENT THROUGH THE SECOND STATE INSPECTION. HE WAS GIVEN A CLEAR OHIO ASM TITLE. Barrett-Jackson 2014: First production 2015 Ford Mustang earns $300k for JDRF [w/video]
Sat, 18 Jan 2014We've almost become immune to the huge dollar amounts that collectible cars earn for charity at Barrett-Jackson. To wit, $300,000 for the first production 2015 Ford Mustang initially didn't seem like very much money. In reality, though, it's probably about 10 times the actual asking price for the car, and we're pleased to report that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
According to Ford, the car's winning bidder will get to "choose a fastback with manual or automatic transmission, and any interior, exterior and stripe color combination offered by Ford on the all-new Mustang." Power will come from a slightly revised version of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine that will produce "more than 420hp and 396 pound-feet of torque."

2015 Mustang-based Saleen S302 to boast as much as 640 hp
Tue, 23 Sep 2014The Ford Mustang is obviously a famous performance vehicle in its own right, but it often works even better as a platform for the aftermarket to upgrade. With the all-new 2015 model just now hitting the scene, the famous tuners at Saleen are getting their improvements for the new pony car ready for the world. After recently teasing it, the specs for its fresh S302 model are officially here, along with a first look at it in profile.
Of course, the biggest question on everyone's mind is how much power the company can get from the Mustang's V8. With the 2015 V8 model rated at 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet, Saleen expects to bump the Ford factory numbers slightly to 450 hp and 410 lb-ft in naturally aspirated form, or with the benefit of a supercharger, it will rocket the engine's output figures to 640 hp and 565 lb-ft. No matter which powerplant a buyer chooses, there are a wide variety of available final-drive ratios with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Available as either a coupe or convertible forms, Saleen will offer its S302 in three trim levels - White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. The White Label is the only naturally aspirated one of the bunch, but it still benefits from upgrades like a new exhaust, limited-slip differential, improved suspension, heat extractor hood and rear wing.

I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
