1953 Ford Truck F100 Rat Rod!!! Hot Rod!!!! Shop Truck!!! on 2040-cars
Fresno, California, United States
This is a 1953 Ford Truck F100 PROJECT!!! that I picked up recently, The previous Owner had it as a driving truck until about a year ago, he decided to pull motor and trans and use on another vehicle. The motor that was in it was a 440 Dodge. This will be a Easy Truck to get on the road just need motor and trans! This is Perfect if you want to save a lot of time and $. Would make a Great Rat Rod or Shop Truck with all the hard work Done!! The good part about this Truck is that the Frame is done!!! This is a Project Truck so please keep that in mind when bidding! Chassis: Must II with Manual Rack and Power Disk Brakes in Front with Booster mounted between the Frame rails under cab and ALL WORKING!! The Rear End is out of a 1970 Dodge Charger and Gear Ratio is 276 gears. Bolt Pattern is ford 4 on 4.5 all the way around. Has like new Dual Exhaust Pipes running all the way out the back With Flo Masters, (the flow masters mufflers have some surface rust) New Fuse Box 12V with all Lights Working!!! Turn signals headlights, tail light brakes lights!! WORK! Tires Like New!! P235/60/R15" all the way around, Rims are Power Coated Black with like new Trim Rings and Center Cab!
Body: The Body is good but does have a few areas that need attention. Its Straight!! and all sheet metal is good other than the Rear Cab Corners (I Will include new replacement ones) and the Hood has a Bad area on top (please see pic), the bed is not the best it does have some weld repairs here and there, down at rear of tailgate and has old ply wood in floor. It will need weather stripping around the doors!! (doors not tight because of that) The Truck looks good but keep in mind the Grille and bumpers are not new and do have some areas where chrome is missing from being old! not Perfect!!! But would be good little driver! Perfect Rat Rod!! Overall still a nice little truck! Interior: Tilt Steering Wheel (Chevy) all hooked up and Tight Steering to the Must II front suspension! The inside is old resto probably from the 70's I say that because someone painted the interior with that old Wrinkle paint that was used back in the day! Has a few old Chrome parts, and Flooring and Fire wall Solid!! Seat is in need of reupholster and the driver side springs are weak. Glass on truck is ok The windshield has Wiper marks and the Passenger side door glass is Cracked (I will include a good Glass). I'm sure I'm missing some thing so if you have questions please ask! This is not a Show Truck but a Project and will make a Good Driver!! It don't get any easier than this to have a F100 on the road, your motor and trans and driveline and your on the road!!! I am trying to describe the truck the best I can. I have not have it long. Title is Clear and in My name and is Currently Licensed and Tagged till May of 2015. I am waiting on Tittle but should be here from DMV by time the Auction is over. I will sell overseas and will help with loading on my end as much as possible. There will be a $500.00 Deposit due within 3 days at end of auction through pay pal with the remaining balance to be paid within 6 Days at end of auction Unless other arrangements are made! it will be Cash, or Certified Bank Cashers Check Or Bank Transfer. MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms
Mon, 17 Jun 2013Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
Ford Recalls Nearly 700,000 Vehicles
Fri, May 9 2014Ford is recalling more than 692,000 Escape small SUVs and C-Max gas-electric hybrids in North America to fix two safety problems. The recalls cover vehicles from the 2013 and 2014 model years. Most of the Escapes have both problems. The first case covers 692,500 Escape and C-Max vehicles. A software glitch can stop the side curtain air bags from inflating in certain types of rollover crashes. The company says it has no reports of crashes or injuries. Dealers will reprogram the air bag control computer for free. About 65,000 of the recalled vehicles are C-Max models, and the rest are Escapes. Roughly 591,000 are in the U.S., with 3,500 more in U.S. territories. About 78,000 are in Canada and another 19,500 are in Mexico, Fordspokeswoman Kelli Felker said in an e-mail. There could be more vehicles affected in other markets, the company said. The affected Escapes were built from Oct. 5, 2011 through Feb. 14, 2014. The C-Max vehicles were built from Jan. 19, 2012, through Feb. 24, 2014. The second case covers about 692,700 Escapes. Exterior door handles can bind and stop the door from latching properly. This could allow doors to open while the SUVs are in motion. Dealers will inspect the handles and reposition them if needed. No crashes or injuries have been reported. About 583,000 are in the U.S. or its territories, with another 89,500 in Canada and 20,000 in Mexico. Ford said in this case, the problem may affect vehicles in other markets. All the North American Escapes were built from Oct. 5, 2011, through April 10, 2014. Recalls Ford escape
2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek
Tue, 03 Dec 2013We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.
